We are deeply grateful for BrightStar Care and the incredible kindness, compassion, and professionalism they showed our family. When I needed immediate help checking in on my elderly and frail mother while my father was traveling, I was very worried. My mother had experienced multiple falls before, and with my full-time job and a business trip already planned, I was anxious about leaving her alone. From the moment I reached out, Kerry responded right away with such understanding and reassurance. She made a stressful situation feel manageable and quickly helped arrange care for my mother. What truly touched us was the patience and warmth Kerry and Laura showed. My mother can be hesitant to accept help, but they took the time to build trust with her. She came to see them not just as caregivers, but as friends. That gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. BrightStar Care went above and beyond for our family. Their care felt personal, genuine, and full of heart. We are so appreciative of Kerry and Laura for stepping in when we needed help most and treating my mother with such dignity, kindness, and respect.

I had a great experience from the in-home caregivers to the representative who I worked with to coordinate care for my father who was healing from a fractured pelvic bone & wrist. Peter Chung returned my calls, was available and very professional. He worked fast to get my father the care he needed when he needed it. He cares about his clients and it shows in his actions…thank you Peter!

The faculty is really nice. They have a huge hall to host big gatherings. Big parking lot provides ample parking. The video system is state of the art. AC and lighting is also good. Then what could be bad about this place? It is the management. They give lot of trouble during and after the event. They are extremely strict about facility usage. They will not unlock the door even a minute before your event time. There is no shade and during a hot summer day with sun scorching above your head, we were standing outside in 107 degree heatwave. There was no way to communicate with them as our host had not arrived. After a long time they realized the situating and opened the door. They will not let you use the cart or any equipment to unload your stuff from your car before the signature is given. They will not let you park the car near the door or in the adjacent handicap parking to unload, even when there is no car requiring handicap parking in your party. All our events occurred after the facility was closed, so no outside of the party person was expected to come requiring handicap parking. You are not allowed to stand in the corridor. You must be in the room all the time. They made us mop the floor, clean the toilet and even clean the mop and the bucket. In my humble opinion that just went too far and left bad impression. Just charge small cleaning fee and get a custodian to clean the facility. One other condition for the facility usage is you have to rearrange the furniture exactly as it was before you entered the room, including the picketball nets. May be it is a valid request from management perspective, but it creates a lot of tension between renter and management. Please take pictures/video of the room before you start using it. My only hope is that the management will take a note of this feedback and loosen up a bit to help the renter. After all it is a Loudoun County owned facility. May be run it like any other rental facility from the county, like a school.

We had a wonderful experience with Sencura. Everyone was very helpful and compassionate during a very difficult time and I never worried about coverage. All of the caregivers we experienced were very good but Letecia stood out above all others! She is amazing, a natural caregiver who was so compassionate, caring and professional. Letecia treated our mother as if she were her own family. She immediately put her at ease and provided amazing care and companionship for her.

Sencura has been a blessing for our family. My father has a degenerative disease, and the caregiver Karen and Katie selected for him ("Cesar") has not only made his quality of life better but has become a great friend to him. We have worked with several agencies and none even come close to our experience with Sencura. Our days are brighter since Cesar and Sencura started caring for my Dad. Very highly recommend them.

I have been very pleased with SenCura Home Health Care Company. After researching and interviewing several home care agencies, my sister and I immediately felt SenCura would be our choice to provide care for our mother. Initially, Katie and Colleen met with us and spent a long time talking with Mom to assure they could meet her needs as well as our expectations. They were patient in answering our many questions and appeared truly interested in providing the best care for Mom. Colleen is an excellent nurse and has made a point to follow up with home visits to assure all is going well. Katie is amazing! She is knowledgeable and always pleasant when I have spoken with her. It is obvious that Katie has compassion and wants to assure that families receive high quality care. I have also been impressed with Ed who helps with scheduling. He also checks in periodically to see if all is going well. Awesome team! Mom’s personal health aide worker (Marian) has been wonderful! She is enthusiastic, professional, and compassionate. Marian’s expertise as a CNA is obvious as she shares and demonstrates her knowledge while working with Mom. Marian goes above and beyond! My sister, Mom and I are very pleased with all that Marian has been doing to provide excellent care and support for the family. I highly recommend Marian, the SenCura team and SenCura Home Health Care Company.

My mom has dementia and aphasia and has been in the memory care unit since January. I can’t say enough good things about this facility. My mom is incredibly well taken care of and her being there has afforded me a peace of mind I hadn’t had in a few years. The staff is amazing and really cares for the residents. There seems to be low turnover. Sheryl (the Wellness Coordinator) is fantastic with the residents and has become my mom’s go-to person for any needs when I’m not there. And Rachel (the Life Enrichment Manager) is an absolute gem- she is the perfect person in the perfect job for her. She coordinates fun activities and field trip and adventures and makes sure to memorialize these with pictures and videos which she frequently shares. It’s like having a kid away at summer camp. I have been thrilled with the way the program is run and I know my mom is well taken care of.

I brought my parents up from FL 6 months ago to move into Waltonwood. They have enjoyed residing in both Independent and Assisted Living. The entire staff is dedicated and works hard to ensure that the physical and emotional needs of my parents are met at every level. For example, Waltonwood staff provide the needed support and care to my parents, one with physical limitations and the other with dementia. In addition, the staff are always friendly and helpful which means a great deal to us. The concierge, medical techs, aides, nurses and administrative staff have treated my parents with respect and compassion like they were members of their own family. I felt very supported whenever issues came up with their care. My parents feel that the food is top-rate, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the educational activities (art history lectures, Great Courses, movies and music programs) have been very enriching. My family feels this is a wonderful community.

When our mother-in-law suffered a fall and fractured her hip while at home, it was an incredibly difficult time for our family. Fortunately, she was able to move into Waltonwood Assisted Living. The level of care she received during her recovery made a world of difference. The staff acted quickly and compassionately after her fall, ensuring she got the medical attention she needed and transitioning her smoothly into a care plan that included physical therapy. The therapy team was outstanding—not only skilled and professional, but also patient and encouraging. They worked with her daily to help regain strength and mobility, always at a pace that respected her limits while still motivating her. Throughout her recovery, the nursing staff monitored her closely and communicated with us consistently. We were never left wondering how she was doing. They made sure her pain was managed, that she felt safe, and that she maintained a sense of dignity through it all. Even while healing, she was included in light social activities and always had a sense of connection with the community. The facility itself remained clean, peaceful, and supportive—everything we hoped for in a care environment. Watching her regain independence after such a serious injury was remarkable, and we truly credit the care team at Waltonwood for that progress. We are deeply grateful for their professionalism, empathy, and dedication. If you’re looking for a place that will care for your loved one like family—especially during challenging times—we wholeheartedly recommend Waltonwood.

Ashby Ponds does have it’s flaws but overall it is the best place I have found! The staff is engaged and personable! They get to know the residents! They relate! I was at the Dogwood Pub and saw how good the bartender was! Mary Kate I think her name was! So good to everyone! Although, I want to point out that she did seem uncomfortable around a particular male resident. When I asked her about it she was hesitant but opened up to me that she felt uncomfortable around the man. I did’t press but I could tell she was avoiding him. I hope Ashby Ponds is considerate of their employees and is protecting them from creeps/ problematic residents.

Although 9 restaurants here, menu offerings somewhat similar. All depends on who the chief is that evening. Sometimes good, most of the time lots of hidden calories and not something I want to eat. Simply my personal opinion! You have to buy at least 20 meals per month.

This place is the perfect place since they have almost everything. A movie theater, dining restaurant, shuttle service going to groceries, church, or any of the body in Ashby Pond, CVS is here too. More convenient for those people who live here, meals are part of their benefit where they can either use it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Well, that would also depend on the meal plan they signed up for. If they wanted to eat 3 meals a day the excess meal can be charged to their account. PNC Bank is also around Ashby Pond, they have 2 Fitness Centers, Salon, a Pool Area, a Medical centers are available in case they need to seek some medical advice, do their lab work, a Dental Clinic, and arts and crafts where they do their own creation, music area for those who play any kind of instruments, they have a group for those who are pet lovers, a nice place with good scenery, perfect place to walk down along with your pet and loved ones, etc etc

I had a pleasant interaction with Lamaria concierge personally, but I was disappointed by the way I witnessed her speaking to other staff members. She was friendly when addressing me, but immediately afterward her tone toward her coworkers became demanding and disrespectful. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and gave the impression that employees were not being treated with the same courtesy shown to guests.

My mother in law is at Tribute and she is extremely happy. She loves the activities and she feels very well cared for. We are very pleased with her new home.

Rachael and Julia have been excellent to work with. They understand how emotional this transition is for everyone and they have made my family and me very comfortable.

Do not believe the marketing hype. Before his passing, my dad spent the last three years at Tribute at One Loudoun. For the first couple of years, under the management of Cogir the care was ok…not exceptional by any measure but not neglectful either. When Atlas management took over the monthly bill went up over $2,000 and the quality of care took a significant nose dive. It was neglectful despite many attempts to communicate with various levels of management including the ED. While there are some experienced caregivers and med techs in the building that work very hard, they are few and far between and the experienced staff are shouldering the burden for the other caregivers that have no clue how to work with compromised residents. I supplemented the care with private care because without private care present, my dad would not be helped to get up and get dressed or brought to the dining room for food. This facility’s failure of leadership causes significant staff turnover. When new caregivers come in, they are not properly trained on how to actually care for the residents that are less capable of taking care of themselves without assistance. If your loved one is truly still independent and can take advantage of the activities, the activities team is great. They work very hard to create happiness and activities for residents and that is the only reason I gave Tribute 1 stars. The food is of low nutritional quality and only marginally edible. It meets the minimum nutritional needs of seniors. Atlas management Is profit over people business. Beware.

If you are considering Wingler House under Quantum Real Estate, please think twice. My father, who has a brain disorder and struggles with communication, was living there for years. During that time, the staff accepted three separate rent checks from him every month without ever questioning why. This went on for years. When I brought this up to management, they ignored multiple emails and only called another staff member to discuss me — never responding to me directly. This is not how you treat residents or their families, especially vulnerable seniors. Next step HUD field office UPDATE: they still haven’t responded to any of my emails and it’s been a year almost. Maybe contact the White House and see if they can do audits and find out what is going on with HUD.

My parents are really happy here. They have been in a 2 bedroom here for more than 2 years. The residents are very sweet to everyone. The front office staff is helpful and they have activities happening all month long. I didn't give it 5 stars, because it needs some upgrading. The recently received a grant and will be upgrading all the kitchens.

I like this place. The staff is friendly. The residents are friendly and yet they respect other residents' privacy. One building has a terrific 4th floor "patio" that is screened in a very large. It is easy to walk to the Giant store because there are sidewalks all the way. It looks like Peapod services the area too!
