I absolutely LOVE dmvartstudio! I’ve been here for two different activities now & each time it’s been so fun. The first was for the vitrial glass painting class where I left with a souvenir that I have put up in my home proudly! The most recent was a Turkish coffee experience where we got to learn so much about Turkish coffee culturally and historically as well as actively participate in making it. Definitely was a fun date with my husband. The owner is very kind & always trying to ensure it’s a great experience for everyone who’s there.

My friends and I had such a lovely time at the DMV Art Studio in Sterling! We booked the Pressed Flower Frame workshop, and it was the perfect chill activity. From the moment we arrived, the vibe was awesome—the studio has a great atmosphere with fantastic music playing. The space itself is so charming, featuring a wide variety of crafts like mosaic lamps, moss art, glass painting, and rug tufting. A huge shout-out to Amelia, who was absolutely delightful. She was so helpful, clearly explaining the materials and the process before letting us take the lead. I decided to try my hand at making a butterfly design with their beautiful array of dried flowers and leaves, and I was really happy with how it turned out. Amelia checked in on us throughout the session, offering wonderful words of encouragement as we worked. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for a relaxing, creative outing!

I went with a couple friends for a rug tufting workshop and we all had an absolute BLAST! We are all so in love with what we made. The instructor was very helpful and friendly. The studio itself is small, but in a cozy way and not claustrophobic. The yarn selection for the rugs was fantastic! I was worried about not having enough shades of similar blue for the water in my design, but they had so many shades of blue (and other colors, too) Overall I’m so happy I went and I definitely want to go back and try out the other workshops, too!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a great experience at DMV Art Studio with my 8-year-old making a lamp! We spent almost two hours there and honestly didn’t even notice the time passing because we were so focused and having fun. The lamp-making activity was creative, hands-on, and very enjoyable. I was especially impressed by the final result — the quality turned out way better than I expected and looked beautiful. My child was so proud of what we made together. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the process, and the studio had a welcoming atmosphere. I also noticed they offer many other activities besides lamp making, which makes me want to come back and try more. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and memorable activity with kids in the DMV area! We’ll definitely be back 😊

I attended the Vitrail Glass Painting Workshop with my 12 year old niece. We had so much fun! It was a great atmosphere and very welcoming environment. It gave very much a “girl’s girl vibe”. Everyone was very supportive, including the others doing their activites. The music was amazing. So many different genres across various decades. I will definitely be back to try other activities. Our pieces turned out great!

This is a do it yourself art place. They charge a $12 cover charge per person and you buy a pottery from the selection. They provide the arts materials. Brush, paints etc. They will also glaze the pottery pieces for you. Staff there is super nice and helpful. They do ask to minimize waste of paints and that is perfectly acceptable. We spend about 3 hours there and had lots of fun. Highly recommended!

Rezgar was such a great teacher he made the experience fun and pleasant. It was my first time and Im not much of a artsy person but I followed and enjoyed the process. I will definitely be back!!

We had an amazing time at Manna Pottery! We took the “Try Pottery” workshop and learned the basics of throwing on the wheel. Our instructor, Rezgar, was incredibly kind, helpful, and patient throughout the entire process. It was so much fun! Aside from the wheel workshops, the shop also offers other classes, pottery painting, and has a beautiful selection of finished pieces perfect for gifts. Highly recommend checking them out!

Rezgar absolutely loves what he does and is a really great teacher! I first met him back in 2023 at the Chantilly arts and craft show before he opened the studio in Sterling. To see his dream come to fruition is amazing. The group was small enough where we all felt that we had equal personal instruction. Rez goes through everything to start with, then we go step-by-step with a second piece of clay, and then finally we are on our own to make another one to two pieces as time allows. This was a lot of fun, but way harder than it looks. Working with clay is definitely an experiential thing. You cannot think your way through it. You need to set your mind aside and let your body really feel the clay. This was a great class to take on 4th of July. Thank you Rezgar and Manna Pottery!

I had a great first time experience here. Natalie is an awesome instructor. I’ve been to other paint studios and I think this one offers the best value for the painting and the wine flight. It is a find, for sure. I do reco allowing plenty of time, as parking can be tricky during the rush and dinner hour, at least in my experience, but most other times it should be easier. If you like paint and sips I highly recommend this place.

We held my daughter’s 6th birthday party here, with 12 kindergarteners. Shiloh was the best at keeping the kids engaged and making beautiful art! She also encouraged their creativity and let them dance out the wiggles when needed. The process of booking was easy and flexible, letting us update numbers as RSVPs rolled in. The kids had a great time, we were able to bring our own snacks, and the studio gave us a sweet keepsake surprise at the end! We got great feedback from parents about what a fun party this was. Highly recommend for kids’ parties!

My friends and I attended a class at this location last night and had a great time!! Our teacher, Tori, was kind, professional, and fun to learn with. She kept the night engaging and lighthearted! we will definitely be back soon for another paint night with Tori!

This was my first ever sip and paint experience and I had a blast! The staff have really amazing personalities and are very bubbly. They keep the class entertaining and are very informative/knowledgeable with what they do. I have never painted a picture in my life and still managed to come out with decent art due to the directions from the staff. It was an awesome experience and atmosphere. I had lots of fun and I will definitely be coming back!!

This paint and sip is lovely. Tori is a kind and patient instructor. The atmosphere is very welcoming. They have wine, beer, and cider. They offer a discount on a bottle if you like your sample. I can say the dry wine selection was good. I have been to other paint and sips and I found the experience here exceeded my expectations. Tori paid close attention to her class and would give individual pointers to anyone who needed direction. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. We had a lovely time.

I went to Fluid Art for the first time and had such a great experience yesterday! 🎨 It was such a blast getting creative and trying something completely new for me. The atmosphere was so great, definitely a fun activity to do. I’ll be coming back and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun/unique experience!! ✨

What a fun way to spend a rainy Sunday morning! This was our first time doing fluid art, and Aylin was patient with our questions. She was thrilled to help us do one of the bigger canvas options and helped make sure it was PERFECT! Can’t wait to go back!

Hawaii Fluid Art was so fun! We went for a mommy daughter date night, and Aylin helped us create such creative and beautiful art! I highly recommend a trip to Hawaii Fluid Art any time you want to get out the house and do something fun and different.

Had such a great experience doing the tumbler resin pour class. Ilene was amazing—so patient, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. She explained everything clearly and made it easy to follow, even for beginners. She also gave great guidance on choosing color combinations, which really helped bring the final piece together. Left with a beautiful tumbler and a really fun memory. Would definitely recommend this class to anyone wanting to try resin art!

My friend and I and our two kiddos (12 and 10) did the glass painting experience and we had a ton of fun! Our instructor – whose name I sadly have forgotten, but she was fantastic – explained the process thoroughly, and answered our questions with patience and kindness. She was able to get us set up with stencils if we wanted them, helped us with the paint pouring, and got our drinks for us (I recommend getting the drink tickets when you purchase the tickets online, as it saved us some money, but they do not include alcohol). We’re picking up our pieces today, and would love to come back to try another experience!

We hosted a birthday party at KidsCreate Studio – Ashburn and they did a wonderful job. The staff was incredible (Ms. Bella and Ms. Kim shout out!) corralling a large group of <5 year olds and leading them through an art project that they got to take home. The kids had a fantastic time and the whole event was seamless. Thank you, KidsCreate for making my daughter’s birthday party so memorable!

We celebrated my child’s birthday here and had such a great experience. The teacher was amazing from start to finish. She helped welcome the guests, kept everything organized, and even helped with the cake. What really impressed me was that she remembered every child’s name, even though our group had a lot of uncommon, international names. It made everyone feel comfortable right away. The whole party felt easy and stress-free for us, and the activities were just right for the kids’ age. I would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful and enriching experience for children. As an educator I trust the space and teachers. My daughter also had her birthday here and the staff was amazing. The materials are excellent and the camps are so fun! Love them!

We had our daughter’s 6th birthday party here this past weekend and it was amazing! The staff was great and all the kids were happy and entertained. They made an adorable unicorn project and had fun with the messy slime time at the end. Definitely recommend having your kids party here especially if they love art, being creative and getting messy! Overall, a great experience! 😊

My kids went to a day camp here, and loved every minute! The projects were creative and used a lot of different skills and media. The kids tried some new things, made beautiful art, and had a ton of fun. Great experience, we will definitely be coming back!

Three visits in and Muse Paint Bar has yet to disappoint — if anything, we love it more every time. A huge part of that is Julia and Julie. These two are exceptional at what they do: patient, upbeat, and skilled at breaking things down so anyone can succeed. They set a tone that makes the whole room feel energized and creative from the moment you walk in. They’re amazing artists, and great staff members. This place wouldn’t be the same without them! Everything is taken care of for you — all supplies provided, tasty snacks and drinks on hand, and a cheerful staff that genuinely seems to enjoy being there. The vibe is warm, fun, and totally inviting. Seriously, whether it’s a date night, a girls’ night, or just something different to do — Muse Paint Bar nails it. Five stars, no hesitation.

I had such a great time at Muse Paintbar! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The instructor made the painting easy to follow with step by step instructions, and I loved how creative and relaxing the experience was. This was a lot of fun, we booked the pet portrait. I wish they would have class offerings based on skill level, doors opened late and had everyone waiting before entering the building. There was a little bit of caos but despite of the challenges it was a fun experience.

DATE NIGHT!! I was surprised with a painting date for my birthday by my love. It was definitely fun and our instructor was great (I forgot her name, long brunette hair)! We were given guidance on how to achieve the final piece but also had the opportunity to go rogue. The food was good, drink selection was limited but service was good! You can order food/drinks from your table through a qr code. I wish there was an option for a drink package or at least a single drink with our paint experience. Overall, a fun enjoyable experience!

After taking a stained glass workshop, I signed up for a 6-week course. Yana was such a wonderful, patient teacher. She was very knowledgeable and made class so fun. First making the plant with one of the studios templates, but once that was done and there was class time left, Yana encouraged us to make something else. I look forward to taking other classes soon.

We had such an amazing time taking the beginner stained glass class at Monroe Street Studio! The class was fun, hands-on, and incredibly welcoming for beginners. Rhonda was a fantastic instructor — patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and made the entire process easy to follow while still letting us be creative. We walked away with beautiful pieces and a whole new appreciation for stained glass art. Can’t wait to come back and take another course. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and creative experience!

My partner and I did the Valentines Day stained glass class and it was wonderful! Learned a lot, laughed a lot, and now have a piece of art to hang at home. Plan of signing up for a set of classes soon! Place is adorable and offers several artistic mediums. 10/10 recommend checking it out.

I loved the two classes I took there last year–it was everything I thought stained glass could be and more. The small class sizes allowed for lots of one on one time with the instructor and I enjoyed the camaraderie with my classmates. The classes inspired and gave me the knowledge to set up my own little stained glass studio at home and I have been working on projects ever since!

I attended the Wednesday morning session, which is a wonderful open studio time where artists can create independently or with instructor guidance. I had a great experience and even created two pieces I’m really proud of. A relaxed, inspiring environment—I highly recommend it!

CIY is more than just a pottery studio; it’s a vibrant community of talented instructors and students! The studio is beautifully appointed with tools, glazes, and clay options. CIY offers awesome workshops that work for a seasoned potter or someone who has never touched clay. The instructors for the classes and the workshops are phenomenal and I learn something new all the time! The studio also features a small gallery where visitors can purchase handcrafted pottery created by the instructors and other local artists- great for gifts.

She’s an incredibly patient and knowledgeable instructor, and I really appreciated how she broke down each step of the process. By the end of the class, I had made two beautiful bowls that I’m so proud of! The studio atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I felt supported the entire time. I’ve been to a few clay studios in northern Virginia and this is by far the best.the owners are the kindest, most genuine people, that only have the interest of the community at heart. The members of the studio are always eager and willing to share their knowledge with each other and to answer questions if they can. Hand building class is good for people that are familiar with hand building wheel throwing classes produce pots that look amazing. The instructors are very patient. It’s a wonderful place

I took a beginner wheel class with Catherine and wasn’t sure what to expect, but ended up having a great time and making an excellent (if I do say so myself) bowl with her assistance. She talked us through the process, did a demonstration, and then helped us as well did it ourselves. It was a great experience. I highly recommend checking out a workshop here, and getting your hands dirty! And you will get dirty, dress accordingly.*

We were impressed with the services offered to help us preserve our first date and wedding flowers! Kanika did an awesome job and paid great attention to detail from start to finish. We brought her a 6 year old flower and half dried flowers and she made sure all were prepared correctly and helped provide arrangement ideas

I booked Kanika for a resin bookmark making experience for my 11 yo and her friends and Kanika did not disappoint!!! The girls are in awe of their bookmarks. I appreciated how Kanika brought my vision to life! She also have patience and kept the girls engaged throughout. I look forward to attending an adult workshop.

She provided samples of the projects we would be creating, which added to the excitement as we settled into our seats. I had a great time learning from Kanika! We worked on a large resin circle wall hanging with a beach and ocean waves…I’m very happy with how it turned out. Kanika was very organized and instructive, as she taught me all the steps of the project. We also added beaches and ocean waves to two other projects I had already made with shells representing 7 of my forever friends and me. They also turned out great! I’ll definitely go to one of her upcoming workshops!! Thanks Kanika!

I met Kanika at a craft fair some time ago. I gave her my information and told her I was interested in taking a class by her. I was drawn to her resin pieces at the craft fair because they were so beautiful. Well she kept my information and sent me a message to join her class. I highly recommend taking a workshop with her. The atmosphere was pleasant and she provided refreshments and snacks. She was well prepared with all of the supplies. She explained and demonstrated how to create the ocean wave lazy susan. She gave creative freedom to use the colors of our choice. This workshop was so much fun. I highly recommend Kanika and u look forward to taking another workshop with her.

My daughters have been attending these art classes for several years, and they truly enjoy them. This isn’t a formal art school with a structured curriculum; it’s more of a creative class where children learn the basics and develop their artistic skills. It’s a great choice for a child’s overall development. I highly recommend it!

My 7 year old daughter loves this class! She was a bit nervous at first but Mrs. Chitra made her very comfortable. Each week brings different supplies and techniques. I have seen my daughter really improve in her abilities after just one set of classes. We will be back in the fall! I would highly recommend for others whose kids have an interest in art!

She collaborated with me to pick an appropriate painting for them to do. It was a fun, unique party that my daughter will be talking about all year! 100% would do again!

Chitra is a wonderful artist and an excellent person who is dedicated and really good with kids. Kids love her art class and definitely recommend it to elementary school kids parents.
