What a fun way to spend a rainy Sunday morning! This was our first time doing fluid art, and Aylin was patient with our questions. She was thrilled to help us do one of the bigger canvas options and helped make sure it was PERFECT! Can't wait to go back!

Had such a great experience doing the tumbler resin pour class. Ilene was amazing—so patient, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. She explained everything clearly and made it easy to follow, even for beginners. She also gave great guidance on choosing color combinations, which really helped bring the final piece together. Left with a beautiful tumbler and a really fun memory. Would definitely recommend this class to anyone wanting to try resin art!

My friend and I and our two kiddos (12 and 10) did the glass painting experience and we had a ton of fun! Our instructor – whose name I sadly have forgotten, but she was fantastic – explained the process thoroughly, and answered our questions with patience and kindness. She was able to get us set up with stencils if we wanted them, helped us with the paint pouring, and got our drinks for us (I recommend getting the drink tickets when you purchase the tickets online, as it saved us some money, but they do not include alcohol). We're picking up our pieces today, and would love to come back to try another experience!

Abe was super awesome. The service atmosphere, food, and jokes were all very acceptable in the eyes of me and my peers at our table. I would recommend coming here to this establishment anytime, especially if Abe is working at that time. All jokes aside I had a very pleasant experience and will come back again if I am ever this far away from my house and this close proximity to Silver Diner. Thanks, Abe!

i do not like writing poor reviews… I actually hate doing it, but in this case it is warranted. The first time i tried this Diner was for a quick bite while on break with my co works… that turned into an hour waiting for his food, my food, lack luster, no butter on pancakes, cold eggs. The waitress tried her best, and a patreon privately paid for our meal… this Extremely kind gesture was certainly not expected and we were given cards to return to give them a second chance. So we left our kind waitress a $30 tip and returned to work. Today was the final day for my card so i figured i would try the meal my co worker suggested. He said it was great…. I asked for the Hanger steak as my co worker got, and asked for it to be prepared medium. When i returned to my hotel and cut into it, it was raw. Not med rare, not rare, Raw. Flash cooked at high heat to sear and removed… I put it in my air fryer for 12 more min at 350…. this is the Edge of the meat…..I do not live in this state so my not returning is null and void, but please do better for you patrons.

We had our daughter's birthday party here last weekend and can't speak highly enough of the support and care taken by Mia on the day to ensure that the event ran smoothly. Mia is a problem solver, helping make sure we could get the audio connection resolved in time and addressing any concerns and questions throughout the event. All with a smile on her face and a first class attitude. Thank you Mia 🙏 Brad and Elysia were instrumental in making sure we were set up for success from the booking to the event itself. Thank you both for all the pre-event prep needed to make this a success!! Thank you Ashburn Ice House Team for making this an unforgettable event for our family 🙌

This has been our ice skating home since being referred by friends and neighbors. I know there are other rinks in nearby counties, but this one has all we need. The public skate was not too crowded and enjoyable for all levels of skaters. There are plenty of benches for getting your skates on or taking a break from the ice. We also enjoy the pizzeria with the view of the hockey rink. The food was good and service was quick. Skate rental was easy. I left 15min for checking in and getting skates – that was more than enough time. I also learned that though the default is figure skates, you can also request hockey skates for your rental, which made my son very happy. I've also visited the rink store in the past and appreciate the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff. Our group had a great time and we look forward to returning, soon!

Two rinks, and very busy there for the competition weekend. Clean and easy facilities. Upstairs for seating and viewing, both sides have seating inside the rinks, too. Vendors popped in for the Potomac Memorial NQS competition. They also have a Slice Theory pizza shop attached that opens up a bit later in the day. Inside, also a Memorial to the lost AA5342 flight skating team members from the rink. May they rest in peace.

I visited for the first time this past weekend and had a great experience. Registering as a guest only took a few minutes, followed by a quick 5-minute safety briefing before entering the range. The pricing was very reasonable: $25/hour for the first person, $15 for a second person to share the lane, and targets were $1 each. Because I brought my own firearms, ammo, and eye/ear protection, there were no extra fees. The facility was clean, and staff members were stationed both inside and outside the range to monitor safety. I loved the automated control panels, which let you type in a specific distance or move the target in 1-yard increments. They allow a wide variety of calibers (just check their website for specifics), and as long as you use common sense, there aren't restrictive rules. I was able to shoot and reload freely. They also had a variety selection of guns for rental to use at the range plus new guns and accessories of all types to browse through. Staff was very friendly and offered to view any guns within their display.

Fantastic range! I’m not a monthly member, but every time I buy a new gun, I use them for the transfer and/or to test the weapon. As usual, the RSOs are friendly and accommodating. Just remember to follow the rules, or the niceness becomes seriouseness and I don’t blame them. Doing stupid things at a range can cost you your life or someone else’s. I also purchased a suppressor from here not to long ago and was very satisfied with the experience and price. I will continue coming back!

GreenDot Defense & Awareness Training is glad to be hosting CCW shooting qualifications at Silver Eagle. This is genuinely one of my favorite environments for firearms related activity. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The facility is clean, well organized and well kept. The RSO's are alert, respectful and no-nonsense. There is a general aura of safety 1st and because of this, it comes off as a pretty relaxed environment. As an instructor, I choose SEG over several places much closer to me because the environment is that much more in line with the experience I want my clients to have. Up to this point, we have an A1 working relationship. See you guys next weekend ✌🏽

The facility was clean, well-organized, and clearly designed with efficiency in mind. You can tell a lot of thought went into the layout and overall operation. The range safety officers were outstanding—friendly, professional, and extremely helpful throughout our visit. My only concern was with some of the staff outside of the shooting range area. As a first-time visitor, I expected a more welcoming experience. The interactions felt somewhat rushed, with little eye contact, no smiles, and not much effort to make us feel welcome. Despite that, my wife and I had a great time and enjoyed our visit overall. The range experience itself was excellent, and we would consider coming back.

If you want to try shooting nearby, I would highly recommend XCAL instead. SEG is better suited for experienced locals; their attitude toward beginners is poor and arrogant. It isn't as good a value as you might think—while their rates look low, they find ways to make you pay more, so don't be penny-wise and pound-foolish. I spent $70 there, and the whole experience was terrible. I strongly advise against going there; even if you don't want to go to XCAL, I still wouldn't recommend SEG.

Avoid. Not worth the frustration. Was bumped by 15 minutes and then had to wait an additional 22 minutes for my appointment. Only received a 40-minute massage when it was supposed to be 60. There is an unauthorized charge of $26.40 on my credit card. The staff wasn't pleasant and clearly didn't resolve the problem they caused. Go somewhere else… not worth the frustration.

This is the coolest, cleanest kids place I’ve ever been to. Everything is cleaned between the 90 min sessions and reset for kids to play. So many activities for them to explore. The recycling truck and Lego table was a huge hit with my almost 2 year old and 5.5 year old. It’s getting harder to find places that can entertain them both and it was FANTASTIC. The token you get at the front desk for a snack at the end is the cherry on the top! The kids get to pick their snack and everyone leaves at the same time so it makes the transition flawless. Only thing I was expecting was maybe a 5-10 min warning from the staff and to kindly ask if items could find their way back to the original location. Cleaning up after ourselves is a part of learning so I wouldn’t have been offended to have everyone doing it! Thanks so much for a great time!

The party hosts the day of the party were so attentive and on top of everything, making sure to keep us on schedule without having us feel rushed at all. On top of the stellar sevice the facility was so clean and the workers made sure to tidy up throughout the party as needed! Checked out Nick's Taverna after taking in a movie. We knew very little about the restaurant, but what a surprise. Everything about it was great. The Greek-themed restsurant featured a full menu of Mediteranean fare. For appetizer we tried the Mezze Sampler Which included Dolmades, falafel, spanakopita, pita, hummus and baba ghannouj. All of it was delicious and clearly freshly-made – no left over pita bread here. The flaky pastry items were wonderful. For entree we tried the the Mousaka of Eggplant, potato, ground beef, creamy bechamel and green beans. We also had the Mixed Grill which included, Kafta, Chicken & Beef Kebabs, grilled vegetables, Basmati rice and a tasty dill yogurt sauce. All food was delicious, at the right temperature and per our request. As an example the beef kabobs were perfectly medium rare. Service was timely and very friendly. There is a welcoming bar area. The restsurant proper is simple with a large room with tables and chairs but some interesting wall decorations are an homage to Greece. Prices are very reasonable. Nick's Taverna is a great restaurant for Mediterranean food whether you are on that type of diet or simply want delicious food.

Review: Absolutely Disappointing Fries 🚫🍟 1/5 stars Where do I even begin? These fries were a complete disaster from the moment I opened the container. What arrived was a sad, oil-drenched pile of what I can only describe as deep-fried disappointment. The fries were swimming in grease — you could practically hear them squishing. Every single piece was soaked through, limp, and thoroughly unappetizing. The skin-on edges were burnt dark while the interior remained oddly pale, suggesting they were either old fries thrown back in the fryer or cooked at completely the wrong temperature. The only highlight? A lone strip of pickled radish hiding underneath — clearly embarrassed to be associated with this mess. For a paying customer to receive this in a takeout container is just disrespectful. Someone in that kitchen looked at this, thought "yep, that’s good enough," and sealed the box. That’s the real crime here. Basic QC. That’s all I ask. If your fries can’t pass the paper towel test without turning it translucent, they shouldn’t leave the kitchen. Zero accountability. Zero pride. Hard pass. 👎 Would not recommend. Would not return.

Sew Margarbo is fast becoming a second home, not just because of the great machines but because of the excellent customer service and aftercare. Precious and Erin are so patient with questions. Thr classes are of excellent quality and at a pace where no one is left behind. Definitely worth a visit

My teacher, Precious, was very helpful & knowledgeable with all of my questions. I definitely recommend the machine embroidery class to beginners. I look forward to taking additional classes at her shop.

TLDR; This place is not very transparent and will get whatever they can out of you, even though they seem nice. I took a sewing class here less than two weeks ago for $99. They were offering a beginner machine (Bernette B05 Academy) for $299 total WITH the class which is a great deal, but I didn't know yet if I wanted to get into sewing so I did not choose to get the deal. I liked the class and the instructor so I decided to set up an appointment to buy a beginner sewing machine. They showed me the Bernette B05 Academy and the owner told me it was $399. I confirmed this with the person who was checking me out. That is $100 more than the price it was with the class. I also have a friend who bought the same machine from here for $299 in December. I could not remember the previous exact prices as I was checking out and I am not a haggler so I just bought it. For my appointment, they set up the sewing machine for me to try which is nice. I thought that meant this is a demo/model machine and I would get a brand new one, but that was not the case- they sold me the one we used for the appointment. It seemed to have some small marks and fingerprints but nothing crazy. The box also had some black markings. The lady confirmed at the register that the machine was brand new and opened 10 minutes before my appointment. If I knew that they open your brand new machine before you even get there, I would not have scheduled an appointment (I was late, but called hours ahead to ask if it was okay if I'm late or if I should schedule another appointment). Now, I don't know if I can trust that it is a brand new machine that no one else has tried. Not only did I pay the $100 class fee (which I understand because I chose not to partake in that deal), but I also paid $100 more for the machine. You can certainly argue that certain pricing runs for limited amounts of time but this whole experience just left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. Prices for the machine were not listed anywhere, even though I swear when I came for my class two weeks ago it had said $299 in front of the stack of machines they had by the front door. What sucks the most is that the people here seem nice, but they really just want you to spend as much money as possible. For a "measly" $200 they have lost a potential life-long customer, and I will be telling all of my friends about this experience. I really don't leave reviews other than positive ones occasionally on Yelp but I had to write this out.

Had the best experience taking my son’s birthday photos with Ellie, she was so patient and did her magic although it’s not the easiest to take photos of a 3 year old. I’ve had worked with Ellie in the past and each experience have been fantastic. If you are looking for a great family/ photographer, Ellie is the one.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Ellie for a family photoshoot, and we couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, Ellie was professional, friendly, and incredibly talented. The session was relaxed and fun, making it an enjoyable experience for all of us. The final photos were beautifully edited and delivered promptly. We had an excellent family photo shoot. The photographer gave clear direction and worked fast, which helped a lot with my young child. The poses looked natural. The lighting and angles worked well for every shot. The final photos looked polished and professional. Scheduling was simple. Communication was quick. The turnaround time for edited photos was short. I recommend this photographer if you want stress-free photos and high quality results.

We absolutely LOVED working with Ellie! Not only is her work amazing, she herself is an amazing person to work with. Finding the right photographer you can rely on to capture the essence and beauty of a wedding can be a stressful task for any bride–especially for a destination wedding. But after just a few moments with Ellie, we knew we were in good hands! she works masterfully with angles and lighting to capture moments in the most creative and elegant ways possible. We loved the way he interacted with us and our guests to make us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire wedding. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they loved our photographer! she captures emotion at its purest and most candid moments, so that when you look back, you can easily relive those precious moments. Ellie definitely helped make our day feel even more special, and we're so incredibly happy with our choice of using Ellie as our photographer to capture one of the most important days of our lives. We highly recommend Her!

I have been a customer at Ashburn Art & Framing since 2018. Over that period of time, Nick has framed 13 different pieces for me. First and foremost, he is one of the kindest and most genuine people you will ever meet. Every time I come into his store with a vision in mind, he helps take it to the next level. His attention to detail along with the pride he takes in his work is second to none. Thanks to Nick, he has helped build out my 'ManCave' into my dream 'CapsCave'. I am so appreciative for all that he has done for me over the years; and the pictures I've posted don't do him proper justice. Everything is perfect. You have to see each item in-person. If you want next level professional framing, look no further than here. I wish I could give his business a rating of 10 stars, because it deserves way more than five!

About two weeks before Christmas, my wife and I brought in a certificate from the Pope for my parent’s 50th anniversary. Nick was as professional and friendly as it gets. He was exceptionally careful with the document and really took the time with us to ensure that we got the best possible frame, matting, and glass to really make it a "forever" piece. He even made sure it would be ready before their anniversary two days after Christmas. The communication from Nick was great and I had no doubt that it would be done professionally and on time. The result was a stunning piece of art that my family will treasure. I highly recommend Nick and Ashburn Art & Framing for any framing job you may have. Not only will I keep my business with them, now I’m excited about whatever the next frame job may be! 2023 Update: The quality and service continues!! After such a positive experience the first time around (see above) we decided to get two large paintings (oil on canvass) framed here. They needed to be stretched and framed and the results were stunning. Nick (again) outdid himself with the customer service and communication. Now our home office has two beautifully framed pieces and a zoom background to brag about! Thanks, Nick!

Nick is absolutely wonderful to work with, and he clearly cares both about making your art look its best, and making the process as smooth as possible. I contacted Nick (and a couple other places that never even bothered trying to get back to me) a couple of weeks before Christmas about framing a concert tour poster as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend (not the most "high brow" art by any means, but it's his favorite band and we went to one of the concerts on that tour, so there was sentimental value to the gift.) Nick was the only person who actually answered his phone instead of sending me to voicemail, and he patiently answered all my questions that I'm sure he's answered hundreds of times before. Since I live in a different state than my partner, I wanted to be certain I could have the poster shipped to his store so he could get it done in time for Christmas (which was no problem.) He was able to give me a ballpark range for pricing over the phone based on the size and options discussed (and after all was said and done, the final cost was definitely within the stated range – no sticker shock.) He also assured me it would be wrapped up in brown paper so when I went to pick it up – with boyfriend in tow – the surprise would remain intact. I hung up from that 15 minute conversation confident that I was in great hands. As soon as he got the poster in his shop, he texted me a picture with a framing and mat option to get my opinion/approval. He knocked it out of the park that first try – the mat was an absolutely perfect match for one of the colors in the poster (and, as it turned out, was also discontinued – but he still managed to source one of the last ones.) The frame was a simple, black frame (black being another of the major colors in the poster.) His attention to detail, and commitment to finding the right materials, really did turn a run-of-the-mill concert poster into something special. Picking up the finished work was also simple, and due to the holiday he even offered to let me pick it up after-hours if that was the only time that worked for me (thankfully, I arrived in town a few days before the holiday, and was able to go during his normal business hours.) He unwrapped it in front of me so I could inspect it and make sure I was happy with it before re-wrapping it and finalizing everything. It seems rare in this day and age to come across any business – big or small – that is readily available, easy to work with, cares about the product as much as you do, has reasonable prices, and is so good at what they do. But Nick is able to deliver on all those things, and it makes me all the happier because I get to support a locally-owned business in the process. I have never been a big "oh, I should get this framed" type of person, but I'm becoming one as long as Nick keeps his doors open.
