As others have said, when the water levels are low, it’s not that fun of a trip. Our guide, Caleb, did the best he could to make sure we had a good time, but I was bored with the lack of rapids and slow moving water. Some small details were also bothersome: – there are no public bathrooms at the facility where you check in and get your gear before getting on the bus. They just have port-a-potties. For a $100 experience, you should have bathrooms for customers. This alone would make me never choose this company again. We used the “employees only” restroom and no, I didn’t ask permission. – the bus on the way back was PACKED! All of the guides were standing in the aisle and even for a 10 min ride, it was miserable being packed on a smelly, hot, damp bus full of people who are also smelly, hot, and damp – when you get back to the facility, there’s a long line of people waiting rinse their feet. Have multiple hoses available, for goodness sake – there is no safety video shown before you board the bus. I thought that was weird. River Riders does a safety video and the guides give a lot more instruction (their facility is nicer, too) Little details to make an expensive trip more comfortable really do matter.

My children and I went white water rafting with River and Trail Outfitters on 7/21/2025. It was an amazing time! While traveling down the river, we were welcomed by bald eagles and a golden eagle. The staff was excellent! Not only did our guide go out of their way to ensure we had a great time, but he also shared some of his historical knowledge of Harpers Ferry. Also, the entire trip was safe and professional. I highly recommend rafting with River and Trail Outfitters, I am certain you will have an excellent time.

I went for a cycling class at Cyclebar in Ashburn and it was great! To start, the staff made it easy to schedule and they were incredibly kind and helpful every step of the way. They helped adjust my bike and made sure I was all set before class began. I am trying to get into exercising and the instructor, Morgan, was really fantastic. The music was fun and had just the right beats to power us through. Morgan was also encouraging and gave clear instructions (great for a newbie like me). I just went at my own pace while others kept up with the instructor, and that was totally fine. I didn’t feel rushed or like I had to go beyond my skill level, but still motivated to push myself and get a good workout. They provided the shoes needed along with towels and a cold, lemon-scented towel at the end. Cyclebar was very detail oriented and welcoming and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a spin class or just a good cardio workout.

I just learned about this new bike place in Ashburn, and it was super timely because my son was due for a new bike! We walked in and immediately saw the perfect bike for him! He did a little test drive, and it was a winner. We also got a helmet that fit perfectly as well as a bike lock. The owner/manager was super helpful and very knowledgeable. I will be back for my own helmet! Love this place!

So incredibly impressed by this shop. I’ve wanted to get into road biking for the past year or so and had been exploring Facebook marketplace, but with limited knowledge, felt like going to a shop was a better move. Boy did that turn out to be the case! Tyler worked with me for a few hours this past Saturday and got me hooked up with my first road bike and I’m now hooked. So incredibly professional and an amazing demeanor. They’ve got a customer for life and I highly recommend checking them out!

My experience was actually 5 stars! First I called to ensure I could drop off and have my bike back soon. The technician could not make any promises but once I dropped off I was immediately given an assessment and cost estimate. I was able to get my bike back the following day and it was like riding a new bike. The work was expertly done and the estimate was on target.

Friendly and helpful staff. Chris, the mechanic is great. He took the time to explain what was wrong with my bike and got it back to me quickly. Prices are reasonable, too.

Great shop! They fixed up my 30+ y.o. GT mountain bike and it rides so smooth now. I was worried they would push for an expensive overhaul given how old the bikes was, but they gave a very reasonable and sensible quote to fix up my bike. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, especially Alan who instantly knew my bike from that era.

We had our daughter’s birthday party here last weekend and can’t speak highly enough of the support and care taken by Mia on the day to ensure that the event ran smoothly. Mia is a problem solver, helping make sure we could get the audio connection resolved in time and addressing any concerns and questions throughout the event. International adult figure skating competition. The facility is incredible. Thank you very much for hosting this event. Would be great to have a snack bar/ coffee shop. We spend 8 hours during the day between morning practice and afternoon competition

This has been our ice skating home since being referred by friends and neighbors. I know there are other rinks in nearby counties, but this one has all we need. The public skate was not too crowded and enjoyable for all levels of skaters. There are plenty of benches for getting your skates on or taking a break from the ice. We also enjoy the pizzeria with the view of the hockey rink. The food was good and service was quick. Skate rental was easy. I left 15min for checking in and getting skates – that was more than enough time. I also learned that though the default is figure skates, you can also request hockey skates for your rental, which made my son very happy. I’ve also visited the rink store in the past and appreciate the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff. Our group had a great time and we look forward to returning, soon!

Patrick is the best!! I was having such a difficult time finding figure skates that fit well due to my foot size and width but Patrick was super patient and understanding in trying on multiple brands and sizes with me. He was also super knowledgable and really took the time to evaluate the issues I was having and come up with a solution.

Two rinks, and very busy there for the competition weekend. Clean and easy facilities. Upstairs for seating and viewing, both sides have seating inside the rinks, too. Vendors popped in for the Potomac Memorial NQS competition. They also have a Slice Theory pizza shop attached that opens up a bit later in the day. Inside, also a Memorial to the lost AA5342 flight skating team members from the rink. May they rest in peace.

I cannot say enough good things about the apartment community. Very well-structured, clean, and homely, my family and I feel at home from the moment we drive down the road to the rental office, even before signing our rental agreement. The administrative staff, on top of that, are so welcoming. When I initially called to make an inquiry, the staff member I spoke with (Rubi, I believe) was pleasant on the phone and answered all my questions patiently. My family and I moved from Canada, so I had many questions as I shopped for rental apartments from abroad. Other places I called were more about paying for the application; the moment I spoke with Rubi, I honestly stopped looking around and decided to apply to Atley. Also, Joliana is another staff member with a welcome, calm demeanor I sincerely appreciate. She worked with us during the application process, ensuring things went smoothly. Even after we moved in, she continues to ensure we are happy with everything. The maintenance staff is also efficient; they respond to work orders promptly, so you feel almost no inconvenience when things break. For anyone looking for a place to call home, it is worth giving it a try. I hope everyone enjoys their stay at Atley as we do.

I just want to give a huge shoutout to the leasing associates at Atley on the Greenway! They made the process extremely easy as I needed to move in right away. They were very friendly, and the process overall was super smooth. I would also like to recognize Ruby, she was awesome and helped speed the process up even more. The property is very nice, very accessible to the metro, the greenway, and it has EV charging on the property which was a huge plus for us. I love this store. It has almost everything you need for your home, project, gardening, etc. They have such a large variety of items, you could be in this store forever just looking at everything. I do furniture refinishing and they always have what I need to complete my projects. The staff is so helpful when I have a question and eager to assist. There is a restroom in the back of the store that is large enough for wheel chair access.

I’ve been to many Home Depot stores over the years, but the Ashburn location is by far one of the best. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. When you ask a question, they don’t just point you in the right direction, they take the time to understand your project and make sure you’re choosing the right items. Today I went in to buy a refrigerator for our garage, which I thought would be a simple task. Debi, from the appliance section, who is also a U.S. veteran, assisted me and explained exactly what a garage-ready refrigerator is, which brands are reliable, and walked me through the warranty, delivery, and other important details. She made the whole experience easy and actually enjoyable. She also helped me find the other items I needed. I just wanted to give a big shout-out to Debi and the entire team at Home Depot in Ashburn. Keep up the great work! 👏

This Home Depot is clean, well-stocked, and organized, which makes shopping convenient and efficient since items are easy to locate. However, while I noticed associates greeting and assisting other shoppers nearby, I was not acknowledged at all, which left me feeling overlooked and less valued as a customer. Consistent customer service would make the experience much better.

Today I rented equipment from the Home Depot Tool Rental in Ashburn, and I had an excellent experience thanks to Aran. Even though he was clearly short-staffed and handling multiple customers, he still took the time to work with me one-on-one and made sure I fully understood everything. Aran was extremely patient and thorough in explaining how to use the equipment, especially when it came to safety. He didn’t rush through anything and made sure I was comfortable and confident before leaving. That level of attention and care is rare, especially when someone is busy. What really stood out was his professionalism and willingness to help despite the workload. He stayed calm, answered all my questions clearly, and made himself available if I needed help later. That kind of customer service makes a big difference. Overall, this was a 5-star experience. Aran is knowledgeable, dedicated, and truly goes above and beyond for customers. I would absolutely recommend renting from this location because of him.

This place has always been consistently good in the 15+ years I’ve lived in the area. Keep up the good work. I also had a good experience recently with their 3rd party storm door installer, RFI. I will give a review on that separately, but the arrangement for storm door setup and purchase went very well at this HD. Good job!

This was our first time at the trail and we did not get to complete the loop. We completed at least 3 miles and I would say the difficulty level is beginner to intermediate. This trail offers stunning lake views, fun rocks to explore, and beautiful wooded scenery! My only suggestion would be a map of the trails. Plus, there are kayak rentals and other water activities available. We loved our first visit and can’t wait to come back!

Parents need to parent their children. Kids taking rocks and throwing them creates significant drain run off and erosion which is not okay . Facility is great offering trails, fishing hiking

If you love hiking and paddle boarding, you need to check this area out! Even though a section of the trail is under construction right now (so no full loop around the reservoir), what is open is totally worth the trip. Hit it early on the weekend to beat the crowds and enjoy a peaceful morning on the water—the small entry fee is 100% worth it. Pro tip: The Mt. Hope Rd. lot fills up fast, but don’t panic if it’s full, as there’s tons of parking right on the road.

Such a nice area for hiking & paddle boarding! A portion of the trail/area is under construction still (so you can’t hike around the entire reservoir) but what is open is worth visiting. I’ve only been on weekends and it’s not too busy early mornings. Paddling on the water is peaceful – worth the small fee to enter the water. The Mt Hope Rd parking lot can fill up fast but there is ample parking on the road in.

They were very kind to me when the e-brake fix didn’t go according to plan. The brake levers are still a bit finicky and the ebrake often catches — I just make sure it’s fully disengaged when I need to otherwise it shuts down the power to the scooter (A Nami Super Stellar). They didn’t do the other things they said they were going to do like tighten up the stem and put a cable management sleeves over the cables — I had brought in some spare silicone sleeves just in case but the young fella who took the order said they would take care of it. However, I commend them for making up for it, monetarily. I hope they can improve/be more consistent given the other reviews — I have a feeling I hit them at the wrong time — and/or they didn’t take the proper notes when I came in). For me they are the only official game in town since they are the only official Nami supplier in the area. Alas, I live over 50 minutes drive away which they knew coming in.

Took my son’s electric scooter her because it was making a loud squeak. They fixed it while waiting. We have another scooter with worse problem and we discussed it while we were there. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff and his honesty will save me money, as i know more about our e-scooters. Highly recommend!

Although I canceled my order due to personal reasons, but this place definitely provides us a stable option for our family trip! They provide us a warm welcome help. Till I thought I cannot make the order, they refund me immediately. So thankful for those and definitely will go back next time. Btw, wheelchair is really friendly and necessary when visiting DC. I highly recommend this rental agency. I spent a week at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA. The mobility scooter was waiting for me when I arrived. The reservation process was smooth and the agent was prompt, thorough and courteous. The delivered scooter worked just fine. Overall, a very satisfying experience.

The scooter was perfect for my Mom to get around while visiting the sites around Washington DC. Everywhere we went was scooter compatible which was an even bigger plus. “The Mark Twain House of Horrors “STAY AWAY AND READ THE REVIEWS !! This property owner is a crook! I booked this property in June 2026 for 20 people and it was nothing short of a horror story!! Arranged early check in at 1pm and upon arrival found the house had not been cleaned with the maintenance individual shampooing stains out of rugs telling us we had to stay out of the rooms for hours and needed to just sit in the living room. We paid $750.00 to have the pool heated and when we found it wasn’t along with the hot tub not being filled or cleaned and confronted the property manager who promised a refund which was not received until legal actions had to be taken through Pay Pal ! As we walked through the house we were met with fake fingernails in kitchen and bathrooms, dead and ALIVE cockroaches in the kitchen and living room , toothpaste filled bathroom sinks, sand in beds and just complete filth. When the property owner was confronted and asked about compensation due to the horrible state of the property I was told that I would be kicked out with no refund if I didn’t stop ( this is a trend if you read previous reviews). If you’re looking for a high end “LUX stay” you are better off going your nearest Motel 8 because this IS NOT IT . Photos attached for your viewing pleasure.

All of the conveniences were greatly appreciated. Ease of access to not 1 but 2 ski lockers. The perks of the hot tub. The afternoon sunset was breathtaking.

Staying in one of the Seneca condos at Snowshoe resort recently was absolutely fantastic! The location was perfect, with easy access to the slopes and all of the resort’s amenities. The rental itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all of the necessary amenities. Manish and his team were incredibly responsive and helpful, making sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, I would highly recommend Snowshoe Ski Vacation to anyone looking for a great rental property at Snowshoe!

Condo had an amazing view and amazing location. Very clean, exceeded our expectations. They were very responsive and followed up regularly to see if we needed anything. Also spacious.

I took what was supposed to be a wonderful family vacation, taking my son to the beach for the first time, and it turned into one horrible mess after another! The Three Authors estate in Corolla NC is not what it appears to be in the pictures or what is told. Upon arrival, the house was not even ready, it was not cleaned, the maintenance man was there trying to clean. Stains on the floors in just about every room! Fake Finger nails laying on the kitchen floors and in bathroom showers. My boyfriend paid to have the pool heated and it was not turned on at all. It was not turned on until over 1/2 way thru the stay. There were cockroaches in the house found on the floor. The wood deck outside was warped and had nails coming up; a hazard to say the least especially for children playing around a pool. The hot tub was full of sand and dirty. The day we arrived we unexpectedly had people show up to take a tour of the house to possibly have their wedding there, WHICH I WOULD RUN AWAY FROM! The agent representing the house told my boyfriend that he would get refunded for the pool heat fee and that how the house was when we arrived was unacceptable to which in the end they did not care. They did not keep their word on anything they said they would do. They also stated that we needed to vacate the premises when the issues of the house were brought to their attention that they clearly did not want to deal with or acknowledge.
