I visited Passion Fin for the first time yesterday, and from the moment we walked in, it was an amazing experience. The restaurant was completely packed, which honestly gave me peace of mind because busy places usually mean fresh ingredients and great food. Even though it was crowded, we were seated within two minutes, which was impressive. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything the entire time. We started with seaweed salad and clear soup, and both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Our sushi arrived quickly and was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. Every bite tasted amazing. The server checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. Overall, we left very happy and satisfied. I highly recommend this place, definitely check it out!

This Japanese restaurant is exceptional — easily the best in the area. Every dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients, and the presentation is as beautiful as the flavors are pure. The staff are absolutely amazing, so attentive and friendly, I feel as if we are a part of a family. Star is absolutely the best! The dining area and sushi bar area are extremely clean and the ambience is just perfect. As you can see by the pictures, their sushi is spot on. It was awesome! The food is great and the staff are super nice! This was my first time trying their food and it was absolutely amazing, definitely worth stoping by! I had 3 platters with mixed meets(one was fish one was lamb and one was mixed) the meets definitely have the quality and amazing taste and I loved how it wasn’t spicy! The Falafls were mid and a lil too raw on the inside but it was still very good. I liked how you got to pick salads and fries as a side! Again, the staff were very lovely!

The food itself is the real star. Every dish feels fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The portions are generous without sacrificing quality, and the seasoning is spot‑on — bold, balanced, and satisfying. Whether it’s their perfectly grilled meats, crispy fries, or their signature sauces, everything tastes like it was made with care. You can tell they don’t cut corners. Another thing that stands out is the consistency. Customers rave about how every visit delivers the same great taste and quality, and that’s exactly what keeps people coming back. It’s the kind of place you recommend to friends without hesitation because you know they’ll walk out happy. Cleanliness, speed, and value also deserve praise. The restaurant is well‑kept, orders come out quickly even during busy hours, and the prices are more than fair for the quality you get.

I’ve tried a lot of halal spots in the DMV and Halal Munchies is definitely a step above most when it comes to quality. I ordered the lamb over rice and it was done just right. The portioning and balance were on point and not drenched in sauce like a lot of places tend to do. The rice tasted authentic and flavorful on its own, and the lamb was tender without being greasy which honestly makes a big difference. I also tried the steak and cheese, and that was just as impressive. The owner mentioned they get their sub rolls fresh daily from a local bakery, and you can def tell. Overall, you can tell they care about the quality of their food. Definitely one of the better halal over rice spots around here.

Delicious Pakistani food in a clean setting with exceptional service. My family and I had dinner at Lakshmi Chowk tonight, this was a recommendation by my sister's family. We were very impressed with how clean this establishment is, servers were in clean uniform, some even had aprons on. Menus are professionally made and kept clean. Clean carpet, tables to a nicely sanitized restroom, something I have been looking for in the past three decades in the country. Food came on time and as ordered, which is also rare because other restaurants somehow find a way to mess up something on your order….not this place. All dishes we ordered were packed with flavor. I had to meet with the owner and express my sincere appreciation for how well customer experience is focused at this restaurant. I highly recommend a visit to this gem of a restaurant.

Biryani Grill is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in town! The food is authentic, flavorful, and consistently delicious. We started with the Curry Leaf Chicken, Crispy Corn, and Gunpowder Prawns—every appetizer was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. For the main course, the Goat Pulav was excellent. A special thanks to Pete, who kindly suggested and offered us a complimentary bowl of Ambur Mutton Biryani to taste. It was absolutely delicious, and we only wished we had ordered a full serving! Unfortunately, the Mango Delight and Apricot Delight desserts were unavailable during our visit, but the Rasmalai was rich, fresh, and a perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian food with great hospitality!

We visited Ashburn Biryani Grill late Sunday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant has a nice Indian vibe and the ambience is quite good. The interiors are well done and there’s also a good bar section that adds to the overall experience. One thing I would recommend is calling ahead for a reservation, because the place tends to get very crowded. For appetizers, we tried the Mirchi Bhaji Chaat with peanuts, which was really flavorful and enjoyable. The Tandoori Paneer Tikka tasted great, although the portion size felt a bit small. We also ordered something unique called Veg Lollipop—fried vegetable balls served with a tangy sauce—and that turned out to be one of the highlights. For the main course, we had Kadai Veg, Paneer Lababdar, Palak Kofta, along with garlic naan, chapatis, and white rice. The Paneer Lababdar tasted good but didn’t really resemble the traditional Lababdar—it felt more like a Shahi Paneer–style creamy tomato gravy with paneer cubes. The Palak Kofta was something different and interesting to try. We didn’t try the non-veg dishes this time, but we might give them a try on our next visit. Overall, it was a decent experience with good ambience and some tasty dishes, though there is room for improvement in portion sizes and authenticity of certain dishes.

Tried Biryani Grill for the first time and I’m already looking forward to my next time back. We ordered chicken dum biryani, butter chicken, chicken 65, gun powder prawns, and garlic naan. The butter chicken has depths of flavor which is rounded out with a sweetness. The biryani is well cooked and ALL the spices come through before you even taste it. The chicken 65 and shrimp are nice starters (good portions) and are both powerhouses when it comes to flavor. Their mango lassi is the best my wife has had. The best part is they let you customize your spice level. We would get all items again!

My friend got catering from here once. And I loved it so much I decided to try them out at their restaurant. I got the lamb kebab and my mom got the lamb chop. The meat was cooked medium as per our request and was really good- the lamb chop in particular was very tender and juicy. I also got chickpeas for my side, and I liked that they weren't too salty or oily. The serving size of rice and naan was also very generous. I would highly recommend!

Amazing restaurant that was one of my staples when I lived in the area so had to come in while I was passing through. Still the same place I always loved. The spice is great if you want it, but there is a good level for everyone. My sister was currently recovering from stomach issues and could only to mild options and still came away very happy. Really enjoyed the food here. I personally had the Panni Puri and Paneer Makhini. The panni puri filling was lovely, but for the price I very much wish they offered more filling, specifically more potato and chick pea. The filling was dominated by onion and we had to strategically ration the filling across the puffs. The panner is so soft and silky, I highly recommend no matter what dish you get it in. The panner makhani was creamy with a slight sweetness, a great option for those who like mild dishes. Service was very kind and welcoming.

The ambience at Tava Fry in Ashburn was nice and the place itself looked clean and welcoming. The service was also fine, likely because it wasn’t very crowded at the time. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The dosas were quite dry, and the potato filling in the masala dosa didn’t taste fresh—it seemed like it might have been prepared a few days earlier. The chutneys also didn’t taste fresh, which affected the overall experience. The sambar was decent, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the other issues with the meal. Overall, the atmosphere and service were okay, but the food quality needs improvement, especially the freshness of the dosa fillings and chutneys.

On a Thursday evening, we suddenly started craving some Indian, specifically South Indian, tiffins. We began searching, and we found this post about Tava. Despite being 25 minutes away from Manassas, we thought, let’s go try it. We had low expectations because our last visit to a similar chat place in Chantilly left us disappointed. When we walked in, the ambience was decent. Though the buffet was tucked away in the corner, which made us think it might not be good, to our surprise, the limited tiffin options were all delicious. A standout for any Indian tiffin is the chutney, and their peanut chutney was outstanding. Idli, punugulu, poori, pongal—everything tasted great. While the buffet quantities were limited, they were quick to refill items. One highlight: toward the end, I was waiting for poori, and the owner noticed. He asked if I wanted one, and brought a fresh hot poori straight to me. All in all, Tava pleasantly surprised us, and we left happy and full.

I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but the rumors are true—the service is a mess. I grabbed takeout during off-peak hours thinking it would be a breeze, but it was still a struggle. It’s a huge red flag, if they can't get it right when it’s dead, I’d hate to see the chaos during the rush hours. The reality is there are literally 100s other Indian spots around here. You can’t survive on food alone when the competition is this high. If they don't get their act together soon, I see this place sunsetting pretty fast.

I placed an online order at this half baked excuse of a restaurant at 12:30 PM and it said the food was due at 12:55. I arrived at the restaurant at 1:04 and had to wait for 35 minutes until the food finally arrived. My 8-year old ate half of the paneer tandoori before complaining of an unusual taste. When I took a smell I was immediately hit by an extremely pungent smell. The chicken tasted close to spoiling as well. When I called the restaurant to complain, they did not believe me at all and requested that I come there physically for them to "see what was wrong." Do I have no other job? Am I sitting unemployed at home eating food and going to restaurants to complain? The food was so bad and spoiled I had no other choice but to go to the restaurant. When I asked to speak to the manager, a guy (who isn't even the manager) came and looked at our food. I asked that he smell the food and asked if he would eat that himself. He said "I'm not the chef." Only the chef is supposed to eat your spoiled food? We're currently raising a complaint with the Virginia Department of Health. If my 8-year old gets food poisoned, what am I going to do? DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT AT ANY COST. I genuinely do not know what these people think they are doing.

I recently dined at Rupa Vira in Ashburn, Virginia, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy vibe that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. We started with the paani puri, which was a burst of flavor—crisp puris filled with tangy, spicy water that left us craving more. The palak paneer was a standout, with perfectly spiced spinach and soft, fresh paneer that melted in the mouth. The naan was fluffy and warm, an ideal companion to scoop up every bit of the rich sauces. The chili cheese bread added a fun, spicy twist—crispy and cheesy, it was a crowd-pleaser at our table. The butternut squash kofta was a revelation, with tender koftas in a creamy, flavorful sauce that balanced sweet and savory beautifully. To top it all off, the Old Fashioned from their cocktail menu was expertly crafted, offering a smooth and sophisticated finish to the meal. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, and the presentation was impeccable. Rupa Vira truly elevates Indian cuisine with its creative takes and high-quality ingredients. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu—highly recommend this gem in Ashburn!

I have been waiting 45 minutes for my food and I have noticed a few tables came after we had ordered our food I see that they have received appetizers and their main dish whereas I havent even received anything and when I attempt to ask a worker why havent I received my food yet they say that it will come and I should be quiet and be patient. You may be wondering I must have ordered something heavy and big but I ordered a simple dosa that usually takes maybe 15 minutes to come but I havent received after 45 minutes.

Loved my vegetarian thali today. Yellow lentil curry and potatoes were my favorite on the plate. The kheer was delightful as well. The palak paneer could have used more flavor. Loved the rice and naan. Been here a handful of times before and the restaurant always has a nice feel to it. I would say this time the bathroom was dimmer than I remember and could have used some more care/freshening up. I would come here again for the thali and other foods too. Staff was very attentive and answered our questions or sought answers as needed. I would strongly recommend this place without reservations. I've come with other diners who have enjoyed their visit here as well. I noticed there are some very negative reviews written about this place and feel lucky that I've had only pleasant experiences so far. If anything changes, I will be happy to update my review for others to read.

Excellent restaurant with a great ambience and a stylish bar area. The food was awesome—we tried the tandoori chicken and ghee roast chicken, both were very nice and full of flavor. The malai broccoli was surprisingly good and a must try. Cocktails were fantastic as well. Highly recommended!

A Hidden Gem for Indian Cuisine in Ashburn, VA Saffron India in Ashburn, VA, truly delivered a chef's kiss experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food—absolutely outstanding. I drove 1.5 hours for my birthday lunch after a day at the spa, and it was well worth the trip. The standout dishes were the lamb chops, garlic naan, and the crispy spinach and spicy shrimp—all 10/10. I also took home the Chicken 65 and Tiger Prawn Shrimp, both of which were just as delicious. Be mindful that they close at 2:30 pm for preparation before dinner service, so plan accordingly. I left with enough food to last two days, and with plenty of parking in the shopping plaza, this spot is a must-try for any food lover in the area. Highly recommend!

This is my new favorite Indian restaurant in Loudoun County. I've been here 4 times now, and each time has been perfect. Butter Chicken, Chicken Tiki Masala and Garlic Naan on my last visit tonight were all delicious. Ambiance and service was excellent too. See you next time!

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. We had the Sunday Buffet and it was amazing. Everything from the made to order Dosas, to the dessert bar was delicious. The Naan is made fresh when you are ready for it and was better than any I've tasted before. The service was friendly and helpful as well. I look forward to my next visit ☺️

We have been a long term customer of this place. We used to do a takeout every single week and now we have reduced it to once in a couple of months. Sadly, the quality has gone downhill. The food is filled with layers of oil. I forgot to take the picture when we opened the boxes as I was starving. I have referred this place to many people and have taken group of friends many times BUT we get refried aloo tikki (you can tell if it is made in old oil), more oil than our tummies can accommodate. This used to be a fine dining place with good quality of north Indian food. I dont want to harm this restaurant but I hope the owner takes this review seriously and does quality checks on the takeout orders. I will never be doing a takeout again. We have been having same issues every single time lately.

We had an amazing experience at Rupa Vira. We ordered two Gujarati thalis along with Khandvi. While we were a little disappointed that the khandvi was sweet, the thali itself was excellent. It included 4–5 puris, puran poli, three sabzis (undhiyu, mixed kathol, and tindola), three farsans (misal, khaman, and dahi vada), desserts like shrikhand and kheer, along with kadhi, rice, papad, and pickle. Everything tasted great and had an authentic Gujarati flavor.

We loved the vibe here, as well as the creative and whimsical plating of some of the dishes. We enjoyed Celebration's version of Aam Panna, and really loved their Tropical Glow pani puri. Another standout item for us was the Aloo Mirch- excellent flavor. They were very clear on vegan options and we felt well cared for by staff.

I just found something seriously unique 😍 Tried their lotus root stem chaat — never had anything like this before… super crispy, tangy, and addictive 🤤 And the kurkuri tikki? Perfect crunch with so much flavor! Biriyani flavorful and tasty! the real showstopper 👇 Their rabadi celebration dessert with 23 carat gold flakes 😳✨ — rich, royal, and totally worth it! And yes… don’t skip the mocktails 🍹 — refreshing and perfectly paired with all this goodness! If you’re in DMV, this place is a must-visit for something different and premium 💯
