I have been purchasing Sassy Woof/Sassy Meow products for over 4 years now. They have many pet items from harnesses, collars, waste bags, charms, blankets, Sherpa hoodies, toys, leashes, bows and more!!! They are fashionable, hold up well, are easily cleanable and most importantly, secure and pet safe harnesses that I feel comfortable putting all my animals in.

Sassy Woof is simply outstanding! Their stylish, high-quality pet harnesses & accessories are designed with both fashion and function in mind. The attention to detail in their harnesses, leashes, and collars is remarkable—trendy, durable, and comfortable for pets. The team is fun, friendly, and incredibly accessible, always ready to assist with any questions. Their creativity shines through in their unique designs, and their commitment to customer satisfaction is clear. I highly recommend Sassy Woof for any pet parent looking for style, quality, and exceptional service. If I could give more stars I would!

Absolutely obsessed with Sassy Woof products for my 10 lb mini dachshund! The quality speaks for itself compared to other brands! Not only are their products durable and affordable, they have the absolutely cutest designs and colors to match every outfit or season! I love that they have matching sets (bows, leashes, collars, harnesses, pup gear & human outfits!) I’ve used Sassy Woof products for awhile now and I honestly would never think to get anything but their products for my pup. She fits so well into all of their stuff, and we get so many compliments on it all. 5 stars!

It was a very pleasant experience visiting the animal shelter yesterday. The staff were professional, courteous and helpful. I also met a beautiful sweet dog who just captured my heart. He settled in his new home after about one hour and apparently realized that this was his home too. What a good boy. He gave kisses and hugs, napped, ran around the yard taking in every corner and the house, played with his toys and had supper. Later he settled in for a long winters nap and slept like a rock. He’s the perfect dog. Thanks Loudoun County Animal Shelter for rescuing Odie. He settled in perfectly here because of your excellent care. No more barking or anxiety and he wants you to know that life is good. ❤️🐾🐾❤️

I took a tour with my daughter’s Girl Scout troop, and it was great. This was my first time ever visiting an animal shelter, and it was not what I pictured from movies/tv. The place was clean, bright, and very inviting. All the animals looked happy and healthy. The staff was amazing especially our tour guide Henry.

This Pet Supplies Store is awesome! I went to the store early Friday, March 20th, 2026 morning. I believe the individual who helped me was Christine. She was absolutely fantastic! She greeted me right at the entrance when I walked inside the store. I told her I was rescuing a cat today and had a list of items I needed; I also mentioned how I was on a time crunch due to a work meeting I needed to attend. Without even hesitating, Christine said, “No problem, let’s go” and walked the whole store with me helping me with every item. Not only was Christine so knowledgeable [both as a store operator and personal owner of a cat], but she was so kind, respectful, conscious of my budget constraint, and amazing at every step of the way. Christine was the exact type of person I was hoping to run into inside the pet store, which felt very daunting and intimidating at first to me, as I have never owned a cat. Through Christine’s thoughtful and considerate approach though, I was done with getting everything in about 15 minutes or less; I thought it would take me over an hour! Christine deserves a raise, promotion to management, and should be a role model for new trainees, other store operators, and customer service in general, as she exemplifies the best in all of us. Two thumbs up for her and this specific Pet Supplies Plus that has everything I needed!

Great store all around! Christine and all the staff are awesome folks and always helpful. This location has a decent selection of cat food and treats, especially the varieties of Delectables and Churus I normally don’t see in other stores.

Poor management! Dog wash being monopolized by 2 adults while only using 1 wash. Reported to management and they did nothing. Not the first time this has happened. Other customers cutting their dogs hair and taking over an hour. Employees never enforced their policy. Never waste time or $ in that store ever again.

The cats that are for adoption are in a dirty cage, the sandbox was full of poop and the smell coming from the cage was unbearable. It is so sad because while the employees were talking and hanging out, that is okay, they could have been cleaning the sandbox and the cage as well. My husband and I brought attention to it talking to the employees, we hope they can start to clean the cats’s space and sandbox more often

This store is smaller than chantilly. Apparently they have a mobile vet here that you can take your pets to. I came here for some Earth Animal chicken Jerly that is on sale, and my girls eats about 1 bag a day. They also have the aquarium Graceland vacuum which they have.

First one is my dogs first hair cut at old town pet resort and here I am using pet smart!!!! Huge mistake. Now I see reviews exactly has same experience as me. They apparently tell everyone your dog had knots and just shave them so short their skin is showing 😳 my dogs situation is really disturbing and they up charge you for extra brushing ???? If you were going to shave them all the way down to their skin what was the point of brushing .i am going to need a manager refund my money at the very least.

Great place with great staff. I’ve never had a problem at this location and you can always find someone if you need something. Prices seem relatively competitive for what’s on offer, but higher than Walmart. Regardless, I always buy pet food here since every bag of food you buy they donate a meal to an animal in need. Another bonus is you get to see a whole bunch of doggos in the store!!!!

I am very dissatisfied with the service Vs the grooming payment for my dog. Initially I had set aside 81 dollars for grooming, bath, nails, other things and an extra service of 12 dollars for my dog. Being aware that I had knots, not many enough for me to arrive at the store and the woman who served me told me that I must pay 20 dollars more so that they untangle my chest hair with a brush, I still accepted so that they would not leave it without hair . But I pick up my dog and they give it to me completely bare, I can see the color of the skin. What an insufficient and unprofessional service, do you need a clean and untangled dog to leave it normal? My dog was not so entangled that they left it the way they left it, I ask for the return of the 20 dollars, because to leave my dog like this, I would have taken it to any grooming on the street and I do it myself buying a machine shaving. What a lack of professionalism. They definitely don’t know how to work and are looking for the easiest solution. And additional they left it uneven. some badly long pieces and others shorter, it shows on his face. They should return all the money.

It’s ok pets-mart between pets marts but some things in general just sad around this company. It’s wild how they almost require you to have this certain things and size of tanks etc to buy be able to buy a fish or a lizard but it’s not about them pets it’s about that money . This is there way to oversell , and it’s ok. We all got to eat but the way they keep pets in there till sm1 will buy them , just so sad. If they so strongly recommend 10 gallon per fish and such a things, pets mart should be leading by example in FIRST PLACE. Let’s be real, pets mart don’t really care about anything else but the profit . That’s a fact . See it for yourself . The bettas really stressed, they look aweful for the most part. Cats aren’t in much better conditions but at least they get adopted relatively fast unlike poor bettas right there. They shouldn’t sell pets they can’t accommodate according to their own expectations! Added: 07/29/2024 Hands down for pets mart for reading these reviews. And do smtng about them if needed. I went today to pets mart and hopefully, bynot seeing any bettas or lizards only mean that they get rehoused according to the company’s expectation towards pet buyers. Because it’s only fair. This world can get better but only if we lead by example. So Lead by example because a well trusted company should be the only type of company we need to support . If you have a choice to choose between making your stores nicer, newer, up to date or make it better for the animals, by giving more space and play areas, choose the animals, because your buyers will keep supporting you even if you sell out of a barn knowing you take care of those pets well. If I would be pets mart, I would built the cages under your shelving units or in a middle way maybe. This way you could give all them pets max space w play areas with toys inside you sell ( visual marketing ) and also would free up more space for you what they currently occupy and make buyers go through ur store just to be able to see your animals. Your adopted pets could be opened to public for anytime emotional support to anyone and that would keep your cats happy while they waiting to be adopted. You could make a kitty coffee ( sell coffee not cat time) to pull in profit to support the extra expenses. Prolly they would be adopted much quicker too, but if not else would make everyone sooo happy but mainly those cats behind the glass that looking just so sad. You would make headlines with that, any that type of marketing comes with aftermath. $$$. Don’t sell sadness or base ur marketing on negative emotion for these pets, sell happiness and good times. Everyone needs that the most no matter where you look. Anyways, u didn’t hire me to reface your company so I won’t get into anymore details, but I can say this. You guys been around long enough to learn about this market and I know you guys can do way better than it is now. Don’t go with a trend of renewing ur stores to traditional up to date models, rather stop and rethink. Be unique , serve the purpose . Pets mart should not be just a pets mart or an other petco. Pets mart could be everyone’s #1 choice, when you give a reason. 08-09-2024 update Was only my wishful thinking that pets mart actually did care for their pets. Nope. The removal of bettas was temporary . They all back on display half dead. See last 2 pictures. So sad to see it. I really thought it’s a company that cares and to support but if you ask me, shop anywhere for your pets but here. Terrible how some animals keys there, non of you can see ?????

This review is for the vet services. We had a wonderful experience. Booking online for our dog’s spay procedure was very easy and quick. The price was great, too. Our dog is healing wonderfully. She never licked the site, and she acted normally the next day! We’re very happy with this experience.

I’ve had the privilege of fostering close to 10 puppies through Wolf Trap Animal Rescue, and I can confidently say they are a first-class organization. From the moment each puppy arrives, it’s clear how much care and effort WTAR puts into their well-being. The support they provide to fosters is incredible, ensuring that every puppy gets the best possible start before finding their forever home. Nine years ago, I adopted one of my own fosters, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. WTAR doesn’t just save dogs—they change lives, both for the animals and the people who welcome them. Their dedication, organization, and passion for rescue are unmatched. If you’re looking to foster, adopt, or support a truly caring rescue, I can’t recommend Wolf Trap Animal Rescue enough!

First of all, I want to say that Wolf Trap Animal Rescue is the best place to adopt an animal. I was blown away by the experience. My cat recently died when he was 18 years old and I was devastated. I adopted him when he was one years old through PetSmart during the financial crisis of 2009. He was a Turkish Van cat. So, about three weeks later, I really started missing having a cat again. There was such a void in my life when I would come from work and get up in the morning, you know? So, one day my daughter started searching on line and she found Wolf Trap. We were scrolling through the available kitties and there he was. An adorable four month old kitty who also happened to be a Turkish Van. We couldn’t believe it. The thing about Turkish Vans is that they’re extremely smart, and have amazing personalities. I was obsessed. I must have driven all those great people at Wolf Trap absolutely crazy that week. They also work in partnership with PetSmart for adoption days usually on Saturdays, so check PetSmart’s calendar for events. The really important thing I want to say is I was so impressed with his medical records. (We renamed him Mango by the way.) Mango was covered for everything and they gave me copies of all the paperwork, including a rabies tag. I probably saved a lot of money for everything they did. You are given a folder with all the information when you adopt your pet. They also called me Saturday morning to give me a head’s up they were there. Love you all at Wolf Trap Animal Rescue. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you. P.S. The price for adoption was $225 but as they explained it, they want to be sure you are serious about the animal you want to adopt, and I get that. Besides the medical costs alone would have amounted to way more than that out of your own pocket. P.P.S. I would like to add that he is not a PURE Turkish Van but a Turkish Van domestic shorthair mix.

I honestly had a very upsetting experience with this rescue, and I wish things had gone differently. I spent eight months with the stray cat I gave to them—feeding him every day, earning his trust, and building a real bond. He knew me, he was comfortable with me, and in many ways he already felt like my own cat. Looking back, giving him to this rescue was a mistake that has weighed heavily on me. After I gave him away, the regret hit me almost immediately. I reached out to everyone I could, explaining how emotionally attached I was and how depressed I felt about my decision. I wasn’t expecting special treatment, just some compassion or understanding. Instead, the only response I received was that I needed to “fill out an application and pay the $25 fee.” That was it. No conversation, no real support, no acknowledgment of the situation or how much this was affecting me. Before I even had a chance to try to bring him back home, he was already adopted out to someone else. That was heartbreaking, and it made the whole experience feel cold and dismissive. It genuinely felt like my emotions didn’t matter. I’m not writing this to attack anyone, but to share my honest experience. I left feeling unheard, ignored, and deeply hurt. I personally wouldn’t recommend this rescue to anyone who is hoping for empathy or more thoughtful communication during emotional situations. In my experience, that compassion just wasn’t there.

The adoption process is so frustrating! There was a dog I really wanted, so I submitted my application, paid my fee, filled out the meet and greet form – exactly how the instructions online said I should do things. I later got an email that said I didn’t submit an application, so my meet and greet form was void. I sent them back my email confirmation/receipt from my application and they pretty much told me I had to deal with it with the third party that took the fee payment. Zero apology or offer to look into it, or offer to hold on to the meet and greet form for the dog I wanted even though I sent proof I did apply. This is so frustrating because they go first come first served. So by the time the third party company found and forwarded my app and I filled out the meet and greet paperwork for a second time and they connected me with the foster mom (who was lovely and very helpful), it was apparently too late to adopt the dog at literally any other time besides the adoption event scheduled for the only single day I wasn’t able to go up. Even though I did everything I was supposed to. If they had bothered helping when I submitted my application in the first place, it wouldn’t have been too late to set up an alternate adoption meeting. Someone else got the puppy I applied (twice) for that I was ready to get days earlier (I could have gone to pick her up any date prior to the action event). I feel like I just got scammed out of an application fee. Also, the dogs profile said she would be at an adoption event on 7/11. I asked about her after this date since the profile was still up and they told me it was an error, but it was as never corrected to the first date.

It was bit hard for me to find this place at first- but don’t let that deter you! This is a boutique type pet store that has some of the dog foods you wouldn’t find at the big box stores. They have toys and treats and it is just an inviting place to go. They do allow dogs to come in the store! They also have bags outside with a little grass patch in case your pup needs a break. They had a great food program that you should inquire about as well. I believe if I bought 12 bags of a certain type of dog food, I got one free. Don’t quote me on this- but they write down every time I come so I know I am earning towards something! Really like this place. It was also voted “Best of Loudoun 2017” which means I wasn’t the only person to dig this joint!

We began by fostering through Homeward Trails and worked with their foster coordinators closely who were responsible, respectful and overall amazing. Jumping forward we ended up adopting one of our fosters and Homeward Trails was amazing throughout the whole process. We felt bad not being able to continue fostering (lease allows 1 dog) but they were so happy for us. She came with the same quirks as many rescue dogs do, but also with tricks and insights that we gained from Homeward Trails. We are loving our life with our Homeward Trails girl💙

I have been volunteering with FOHA first when I was 15 – fast forward I am 30 now and have adopted my first FOHA dog – 🙂 she is amazing and I can’t say enough great things about FOHA. they truly care about the wellbeing of their animals, and take amazing measures to make sure these dogs are taken care of. They will support you – even after adoption. I think it’s rare to come across an organization like this. Thank you FOHA for my girl Marble 💜 she is finally learning to trust again.

It’s truly a lifechanging experience to have adopted my first furbaby from here 🙂 Then, I was absolutely gobsmacked by the universe when I heard my furbaby’s baby was ALSO rescued by FOHA!! I am now a proud furgramma! Please, please consider FOHA if you want to have a magical adoption experience! ✨️

I loved my experience here. We adopted 2 kittens and FOHA helped us feel reassured with every step. They provided medicine because our kittens were still getting over URI, had a vet on site to talk to and everyone really cared about all their animals there. Best adoption experience. I would come back but now we have a full house. Thank you guys! Kittens are good!

Gotta be honest, they lied to me and my disabled mother about a dog that is very violent and my dog was the victim of a brutal, savage attack in her own home because of the lies we were told. They refused to refund our adoption fees even though the assault took place less than 48 hours after adoption. They pride themselves on being a no-kill shelter and it seems they are willing to lie to potential adopters to protect that status and then keep your money. Choose another rescue that will be honest about the dogs they are adopting. My poor dog is traumatized and has four puncture wounds and was covered in blood. She would have been killed if my mom did not break it up. At that point the dog turned on my mom and attacked her as well. FOHA is claiming this dog has never had problems before and there is honestly no way this is true. The dog attacked my dog five total times in two days.

FOHA was an amazing place to get our first dog! We came in without an appointment just to get a feel for what kind of dog we would be interested in. Alison asked us some questions and introduced us to Lucille- it was love at first sight! She is the perfect fit for us and our living situation. FOHA was extremely accommodating in allowing us to pick her up when we returned from a trip out of state (and visiting her regularly in the meantime). We were going to pick her up after our flight home, and it ended up being delayed quite a few hours. Even though it was past closing time, Alison still let us pick up Lucille, and waited for us with everything we needed (and a spare leash to borrow, since we came from the airport) The first two photos are at FOHA in November, and last three are from the last few weeks. 🙂

We LOVE Meow’s Corner! We have equally enjoyed this spot as visitors to spend some time with the cats, as well as eventually adopters! We adopted two kittens from Meow’s Corner and they have been so perfect! It’s a great way to meet a kitten or cat (or more than just 1!) and determine if you are a match. We were able to visit multiple times, which helps the more shy cats open up to you over time and really show their personalities. As our cats settled in, you can tell they have been socialized well! That made the entire process so much easier. The staff is incredibly kind & friendly. You can easily see how much they care about the cats. They helped walk us through the adoption process, which is then handled by 4Paws Rescue Team (who are also fantastic)! Thank you, Meows Corner! 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

The kitties were so loving and playful! We had an amazing time with them. They’re all available for adoption and we hope they get scooped up soon because they were all so wonderfully sweet.

Cute cats and clean café, but they don’t serve coffee, there aren’t many food options. Most of the cats seem like they’re usually sleeping, some may play with you (but that’s just cats in general). It’s kinda pricey, more expensive on weekends

A sweet little spot for when you need a therapeutic dose of cats. I visited several times and ended up falling in love with one cat and adopted her, and it was a very easy and pleasant process with the associated rescue! We’re so happy we went through with it. FYI there are some refrigerated snacks/drinks you can buy but it’s more of a lounge, not a cafe. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable!

Judging from previous reviews, some of the problems have been fixed (small children are not allowed in and employees come into the space and monitor things/keep an eye on cat behavior), but some aspects of the experience are still very present. We arrived as soon as the business opened, and every surface had a thick layer of hair on it. Obviously, with lots of cats, hair will accumulate – but it didn’t even seem like a wipe-down had been performed before opening, and blankets on furniture were not changed out/laundered. There is a very, VERY strong odor immediately upon entering. Multiple kittens had recently been added to the group, and that was clearly stressing out most of the adult cats (even the employees remarked on it). There were lots of cat spats with hissing and swatting, including at customers. It seemed like there were definitely too many cats in the space. Employees regularly had to break up the cat spats. You can buy a cup of treats here for the cats, which I haven’t seen at other cafes, but this also led to some issues since multiple cats would try and get to the treats and then get in disagreements with each other. Some cats were also aggressively climbing over customers who had the treat cups. When the cats are already stressed out, adding treats into the mix seems to make things even more tense. There were several friendly/cuddly cats there and the fee is reasonable to spend time with them, but we seem to have visited on a day that many of the cats were not in a very good mood.

I had a very disappointing experience. The staff was not welcoming at all, especially one older lady who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of treating us with kindness and respect, she complained about how many cats we have. This is supposed to be a place that helps low-income people, so it was upsetting to feel judged instead of supported. If someone doesn’t have the patience or compassion to help people, they shouldn’t be working in this type of environment. I hope management addresses how clients are treated so others don’t have the same experience.

Literally so beyond weird. You need to fill out an application online and be approved before you can even meet the cats there. The lady was nice enough but very awkward. The way it’s set up makes it unnecessarily difficult. You should be able to show up, meet the animals, and then see if you want to go through next steps. I recommend going elsewhere.

I had sent an email asking about a dog they had & the dog had been there for months! I had been watching him because I was sincerely interested in adopting him. I immediately followed the email with an application to adopt the dog. My email was responded with you have to send in an application for us to answer any questions, to which I responded that I did. The 2nd email was never responded to & neither was my application. I hope that Sherlock has found a good home. We were able to resue our sweet girl Evie from another rescue. I believe things happen for a reason but you would think that a rescue would be interested in finding the animals home.

Got my sweet boy from here 3 months ago. It was a great experience. The facility is well cared for and the staff was very nice. Michael was great in all of our communications and setting up our meeting with our new pup. Adding a picture of our slightly crazy but incredibly loving rescue dog. He makes us laugh every day and is never without his ball!

Great experience in adopting a dog. All the dogs housed at the farm looked well cared for. I got the opportunity to meet Lisa, Hiedi, and Dave the day I came out to the farm to meet the dog I applied for. They were very helpful and took the time to answer all my questions. I had a great experience with the adoption process at the Humane Society of Fairfax County I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pet. They take care of all the animals there as if they were their own pets. I did not meet Noris in person but spoke with her on the phone and via email and she was also very helpful she was the first person I spoke with at HSFC. Update-I adopted another dog friend from HSFC in Oct/2022. I worked Michael and once again the experience was great!!
