What a LOVELY experience. I was getting coffee and saw a very cute consignment shop so of course I had to check it out. N’Used was SO organized and I could tell they put in a lot of love into their store. Every employee was kind but I was helped specifically by Sammy. They went out of their way to help me find a specific pink shade top to match a skirt I wanted to purchase! I recommend checking them out and if you’re bringing clothes or bags in for trade , I believe you can call or go onto their website for rules 🫶❤️😎✨️💃!!!

The older I get, the more I prefer shopping at consignment stores — and N’Used is my favorite one. They offer quality brands, in great condition, at very fair prices. And, the owner and staff could not be more kind and helpful! FYI: I found this Anne Klein winter coat on the 50% off rack at the end of the winter and the cost after the discount was just $25.00! And, since I had consigned some things earlier, I walked out of the store without whipping out my credit card — and with a big smile on my face.

This store is the most amazing place no matter where you are in life! Building your wardrobe for work, new mom who needs something to bridge the baby weight gap, started a GLP1 and weight is dropping quickly? You can find everything you need at amazing prices! It’s like shopping your best friends closet with a bunch of new best friends (the staff at N’used are your new besties)

As a professional organizer and founder of Sort for Joy, I’m always looking for thoughtful, reliable local businesses to help clients responsibly rehome quality clothing and accessories, and N’Used has been a wonderful resource. Their team has created such a welcoming, upbeat environment, and I appreciate how approachable and knowledgeable they are throughout the consignment process. What stands out to me is the balance they strike between everyday style and higher-end designer pieces — there’s truly something for everyone, and the store feels curated without feeling intimidating. Clients have had great success consigning there, and I’ve always appreciated how efficient, communicative, and supportive the staff is. It’s clear that N’Used genuinely values the women who bring in the clothing as much as the women who shop for that new, chic piece for their wardrobe. I’m grateful to have them as part of my network of trusted local resources and happily recommend them to clients looking for a fun, positive consignment experience.

I have been coming here since N’Used opened in 2011. I went to the sidewalk sale today and it didn’t disappoint! Found 2 really nice shirts for $6 each on the 3rd day of the sale! Rosemary and her staff have always been extremely friendly and make everyone feel welcome. The store is well organized and stocked and has such beautiful clothes. What a treasure to have in Herndon!!

I never experienced this before trying to get rid of a really good looking table. I took the legs off. I got declined at one Goodwill come to another one and get declined at another Goodwill because They don’t have tools to assemble The table I spoke to the manager he declined me I mean, when did Goodwill start declining good furniture

Donation center the team works quickly but they don’t take a lot of house hold items I was trying to give, If you are looking to give anything baby related, they don’t take car seats, pack n plays or anything of the sorts. I will still be donating but won’t make the drive next time in hopes of giving baby chairs.

Horrible Goodwill store! They change the price to their liking. Pair of shoes were clearly marked as 6.99 but when I got to register they suddenly told me they couldn’t sell it to me because it had only one price! Maybe they realized it was a high end brand and they didnt want to sell it for half price bc it had the color of the week tag on it. Where is it posted that the price on a shoe has to ve marked in 4 different places on a shoe. Ridiculous! Take your donations to honest people at Door of Hope in Ashburn. At least they are honest.

I’ve donated at several Goodwills across the country and this is by far the worst. Its a gamble as to whether they will accept an item that other ones will. The hours they accept donations makes you wonder if they actually want donations. You either have to take time off work or make no weekend plans.

Look yall, if you are interested in 80s blouses this is the place. I LOVE 80S WOMENS BUSINESS WEAR. If you know how to shop for 80s goth style without needing to rely on name brands this is the place. Also some good 2000s stuff. Pricing is consistent, so regardless of the quality an item will be the same price (all shirts one price, all skirts, all pants, etc) and sometimes you can find vintage Victoria secret in the pjs. Also great dishes, sometimes there’s real silver. It’s pretty cheap.

I found this shop. Today they are a good thrift shop they got a big selection of iteans staff are helpful i found 1 end table and a night stand at good price and one older NASCAR Dicast collectors item so it was a good day. This thrift store does a lot of good for the community. They can use donations from all. I do highly recommend. They keep getting more and more good stuff in here especially around the holiday times you can find a lot of good items for Christmas presents stocking stuffers and you never know what you might find was in here the other day found several things that had nothing they would have found a couple more pieces of furniture that I could use too and a little knick knacks as well this place is getting better and better this place we do highly recommend not only the buy from but to donate to

I regularly shop this store and have loved each and every employee however, One of the managers named Sandra (short, Hispanic woman) is continuously rude and borderline obnoxious. To say she is unprofessional would be kind! There is no room for this obscene attitude in ANY store not to mention one I frequent and continually drop off donations. Please note, the manager, Carol goes above and beyond at every level however she cannot be everywhere at once and is not always privy to Sandra’s actions. Not sure why she has been allowed to continuously berate customers. As an Interior Designer I shop for a living… Sandra’s obnoxious / unprofessional stature is literally OVER THE TOP!

First time here and I wasn’t even in the building for 5 minutes before I overheard a worker scold a woman for trying on a jacket… she just tried it on over her shirt and this worker (dark short hair) who was hanging clothes walked over to her and rudely told her she can’t do that. The customer informed her another worker told her she could and she looked shocked by this and irritated. I walked over after to ask if I heard right and she confirmed. For goodness sakes, you can try clothes on over your clothing at an actual retail clothing place … but not at a mediocre at best thrift store?? Most of the clothes probably weren’t even washed before being donated. My husband also observed he saw a sign about it being Christian focused. I put what I found away and we left because we both did not want to support this type of business.

I went to the Closet today haven’t been there in a very long time. The place looked very different and unorganized and dirty. I had someone show me a collectible from a locked case. I wanted to buy the lady said I can’t give to you to bring g to register I have to have an employee walk it the registers. This item was 8.00 dollars. There was another piece that I was going to get big when we opened the box it looked like mice droppings. The lady that wither there said we have had problems with mice in the backroom. Buyers beware they have mice problems at the Closet. As I was walking out I took pictures of the front windows, They all need some work, Why would two pieces of lingerie be in a front window during Christmas.,

I don’t care who you think you are telling a customer that I have an attitude like when they’re like so protective $25 pair of binoculars take it up front so I have to wait on you and then she accuses me of having an attitude when I say that’s kind of a stupid policy. Giving me like a smart-ass response back like “you don’t have to get them if you don’t want to!” I told her back. Yeah actually I don’t want to get these cuz of your bad attitude and she’s like you have a bad attitude. Best salesman ever…

This is one of the nicest thrift stores I’ve been to. It was clean and very well-organized. I was especially impressed with the toy section- everything was labeled clearly, sets of items were bagged together and labeled, there was a wide variety of toys, everything was in good condition, and the prices were great. Several reviews mention unhelpful and unfriendly staff. I can say that my experience was the exact opposite. I was there with my energetic four-year-old and had to say, “excuse us,” to two different staff people when he excitedly ran in front of them (we’re working on it!) and they couldn’t have been nicer. At one point I myself accidentally knocked a small recycling bin toy off the shelf, breaking the wheel off. I found the nearest worker to apologize and give them the broken toy. Again, they couldn’t have been kinder about it. Eventually, we found an excellent condition Melissa and Doug tool box full of tools, along with a pirate mask and dagger for dress up. When bagging everything up, the cashier handed the mask to my kiddo so he could wear it out of the store. Altogether, the toys rang up to only $4.50, which is certainly less than it would have been at other thrift stores we go to. There was not a large selection of children’s clothes, but I was impressed with the variety of everything else they had. I’m glad my friend recommended it to me, I look forward to going back.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Goodwill location. I purchased a vacuum cleaner, took it home, and when I tried to use it, it was completely dead and not working at all. I returned the very next day with the receipt, expecting at least a basic level of professionalism. Instead, I was treated with rudeness, dismissal, and a complete lack of respect by the manager. No attempt to help, no accountability, and no customer care whatsoever. When I said I no longer wanted the item, the attitude became even worse. I understand that Goodwill sells used items, but that does not justify selling broken electronics and then treating customers poorly when they come back immediately with proof of purchase. What makes this worse is that their own receipt clearly states that electronics can be exchanged or store credit issued within 7 days — yet this policy was ignored. This location clearly lacks leadership, ethics, and basic respect for customers. I felt cheated and insulted. I will never return to this store, and I strongly warn others to be extremely careful when buying anything here — especially electronics. Receipt attached for proof.

Had the most unprofessional team member approached me as I was walking in with my daughter and told me to leave the store just because she had a close container drink with her. The employee reeked of cigarettes. He refused to price check something that didn’t have a tag on it. That isn’t my fault. I reminded them that on the Goodwill website, it said the basic pricing for it is $3.99. The employee then got the manager Nick involved, he told me that I would have to wait all the way until tomorrow morning, For something that THEIR employees forgot to price. The manager said I should come tomorrow morning to purchase the item. Unbelievable. I wasted my time shopping for hours only to not be able to purchase the item that I had originally wanted. This is a waste of time, DO NOT bother coming here. They don’t care about their customers at all.

Management is poor and the store manager herself is hardly around and absent from the store most of the time managing from the store cameras at least once every hour. No actual organization for any of the items they stock. Customer Service from the associates is moderate and alright, but it seems like the management isn’t ready for their actual jobs as they are more focused on answering text messages from the store manager than actually running the store properly. The carts with new product are in the way of isles and block off multiple access points.

Louisa is the employee there. My toddler was looking at toys. He must have opened a toy and left it on the floor. Other kids were there at the toy section as well. These are old toys. So children will naturally take them off the shelves to test them I always make a point to put them back. But I was looking at the kids clothing right next to the toy section and I heard an angry employee rambling. I went over to put toys back on the shelves and told my toddler to do the same and the employee said my son made a mess and this is not a playground, in a mean way. She said there is camera footage of him messing up the area. I was upset and I did tell her it is your job to do so. She even pushed my stroller to the side to get out of her way. Yes she can tell me but please have respect. She must of talked to a manager about it. The manager also came over to tell me to be mindful without knowing what happened. So rude, please train your employees better. Or put a sign that say children are not allow here.

The guys they sent were very nice, but they wouldn’t take anything except the perfect condition (expensive) stuff. They wouldn’t go on any interior stairs even though the website says one flight of stairs. Apparently that is one exterior flight but no interior flights. They said it said that on the website but if it did they were not obvious about it. They also refused to take anything that I hasn’t specifically mentioned ahead of time. I couldn’t mention every little thing, I’m downsizing a huge house. I ended up wasting hours of my time for nothing. I called 800-got-junk after they left and the guys arrived withi 30 minutes and are taking everything for a very reasonable price. Bottom line, don’t bother unless you’re giving away stuff in pristine condition and that you itemized exactly and moved to the main level of your house :(.

I had such a smooth and positive experience at Plato’s Closet (Dulles)! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional. The selling process was faster than I expected, and I felt like the offer I received was fair. The store was also really well organized, making it easy to browse while I waited. I even ended up finding a few cute pieces for a great price. Overall, it’s a reliable spot if you’re looking to sell clothes or pick up something stylish without spending too much. I’ll definitely be back again!

I understand that consignment stores have specific styles they are looking for, and that’s completely fine. The clothes I brought were in like-new condition and from good brands. However, I was told that my clothes were “too adult,” which felt inappropriate and not very professional. A more respectful explanation, for example saying the items don’t match the store’s current style or target customers, would have made the experience much better. I hope the store can improve the way they communicate with customers in the future.

I don’t have a question but I do have a review to place which I’ll do online also. I drove 2 hours just moved here from Florida with lots of name brands clothes shoes purses. Walked in Spanish lady said sorry 1 tote and it’s a 3 hour wait we are short staffed. Very rude. Mean while I took my stuff back to my suv to come in and look around to watch other people bring in big bags of clothes. This platos lost my business completely. No wonder it’s a 2.2 review to the owner from a business owner you don’t run a business this way. No reason to call or email me back.

Would give zero but I can’t. I had a massive amount of clothes from nice brands and they only took one dress. This dress was new with tags and originally $120 and they could only give me $7.70. This place is an absolute scam. The workers barely speak to you, don’t make eye contact, and wander around like they have no idea what they are doing. They claim to look through everything, but I heard one girl comment that she couldn’t even remember if she had gone through the bag and just told us they would take anything from that bag. You will get barely any money for your stuff, just skip out on supporting such scam of a place. Just help the needy and drop it at Salvation Army.

This location is absolutely ridiculous. They don’t take trash bags and only 2 bags per person to sell. This is literally wild to me considering every other location takes multiple bags and trash bags. Last time I sold here they took ALMOST EVERYTHING I had because it was brand new with tags or designer and that good. Brought 2 trash bags and one shopping bag this time with also BRAND NEW items and 75% of the items with tags and the rest was worn ONE time. Your loss. People won’t come back for this.

I’ve been donating and shopping at this store for the last 5 years. I typically look for plant pots, wine glasses, frames, unique art, candles, and decor pieces and seasonal decor. I find that it’s priced lower than gw and unique stores that mark up brand items and have increased prices a lot. I’ve always had positive interactions with the staff and I enjoy going there. Sometimes I walk out empty handed, sometimes I find some cool treasures. I can’t speak about clothing prices. For me it’s relaxing to browse the store after a day in the office every once in a while. Everything is well organized, they wrap the purchases with care and get you checked out efficiently. I will continue to support this store and hope they will continue to open their doors to everyone in the community.

How are they paying the rent? This is a huge space with very few items inside the store. Unless this was a rare instance where somebody came in yesterday and bought up most of their inventory I would say this place is probably not worth visiting unless you’re looking for clothing. They have a decent amount of clothing, no furniture, and almost no home decor. I’ll give it a couple of months and try again because I would like to support the cause, and hopefully by then they’ll have stocked up on donations.

The store itself is absolutely filthy. The floors were filthy with trash and dirt, like it hadn’t been vacuumed in more than 6 months. The one dressing room didn’t have a hook to put clothes on and had huge piles of dust, hair, trash and hangers in it. Even around the top of the dressing room door there was dust an inch thick, but instead of cleaning there were 3 workers just hanging out behind the counter gossiping about their personal life. Also the selection was very unorganized. Sizes and styles were just all in random places, making it hard to actually find anything.

I’ve gone to this thrift store since I was a child. It’ll hold a special place in my heart because of that, but the extreme price-gouging over the years is disheartening, especially when it advertises as a place valuing “neighborly kindness” and religious morals. What about your low-income customers, which I thought the whole point of secondhand stores were? I don’t see the appeal in places with secondhand goods selling just as much, if not more, as thrifting scalpers and dept stores. It just really sucks when those with less fortune keep having less and less options to feel comfort and have nice things. People here are fortunate enough to donate nicer things, and I highly doubt they expected that to be resold for market price at a place called “Hope’s Treasures.” More like losing hope in the idea of giving back to the community, maybe. I don’t even know if nicer stuff can get in the hands of customers anymore since this store is well-known for employees holding things for themselves OFTEN and putting out half-done items. Like a teapot set priced at $20 with everything missing but the creamer cup. What??

Do not donate! I took the time to gather supplies during my spring cleaning and pantry resupply to donate. The man taking the donations was rude and showed distain over the donations that were in new condition. I checked that everything was on the approved list but he turned away donations of new, unused cleaning supplies, dish soap, kids books, games, and dolls clothes I purchased specifically to donate. This is a charity that relies on the goodness of others, making those who donate feel unwanted drives away donations. I will be donating to anyone else in the future.

I am a house mate in good shepherd this is one of the best places to be. I can’t imagine being anywhere else. From the time I arrived to now I have felt like family and actually belonged somewhere. Jessica the case manager is someone who cares more then in I have ever seen before. I love that I’ve been givin a chance by everyone in the program. Some people leave bad reviews because they don’t respect the program.!!! Not ok if it weren’t for good shepherd I wouldn’t be where I am!
