I visited Passion Fin for the first time yesterday, and from the moment we walked in, it was an amazing experience. The restaurant was completely packed, which honestly gave me peace of mind because busy places usually mean fresh ingredients and great food. Even though it was crowded, we were seated within two minutes, which was impressive. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything the entire time. We started with seaweed salad and clear soup, and both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Our sushi arrived quickly and was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. Every bite tasted amazing. The server checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. Overall, we left very happy and satisfied. I highly recommend this place, definitely check it out!

Love a hibachi bowl! I overall enjoyed and liked my bowl I am just a very tough critic on hibachi food. The portion size was great for the price. The staff was friendly and fast. The chicken was a little dry and the fried rice lacked a bit of flavor. I wish the vegetables were a little more firm. The ratio of meat, veggies and rice was good!

This team is phenomenal! Our friend had them cater their birthday party and we were instantly so impressed and eager to bring them in for an event, which we were finally able to do earlier this month. They were easy to communicate with, super clear, very professional, extremely hospitable and provided restaurant quality sushi in both presentation as well as taste and quality! 10/10 and we are excited to have them back! As an aside, we had another friend hire them as well following our event.

The portions are insane. We got the lunch special and ate as much as we could, packed the leftovers to-go AND IT WAS A FULL TRAY. I had to come back and review this 3 days later. Idk why this place is not packed every day. Food was delicious and cheap I felt like I time traveled back to 2010s

Had a wonderful experience here! The menu has something for everyone, and everything we tried was delicious. The Chinese food came in generous portions, the sushi was fresh and tasted amazing, and the Thai dishes were full of flavor. The prices were very fair, especially for the quality of the food. I really appreciated our experience here. Please be prepared for a carry out style restaurant and not so much dine in. You will need to order your food up front, they will bring out if you choose to dine here. You will need to put your dishes away after you eat. You will not be assigned a waiter. We got so much food here to sample and try! The food and sushi was great! The amount of food you get is crazy! I would say it's a great value. 1 person could spend $15 – $20 here and still be taking home leftovers. Their sushi rolls were huge!!! Not necessarily a bad thing, you really only need one roll instead of two. I noticed a lot of people dining in here would share their food. That was very cool to see as our party did the same. The alcohol prices you can't beat. We will be coming back for sure!

The food is always excellent—we love everything we’ve tried here. However, we wish the waitress would hover less and wait until we’re finished before collecting empty plates and utensils. It would also be more courteous to ask before taking anything away. At the end of the meal, we were offered a complimentary dessert, which was a nice gesture. But when we asked for a container to take it with us, the waitress said we had to eat it there. This has never happened before, and we found it to be a bit excessive

After moving here in 2023 I found this spot. The main difference here is the chicken isn't overcooked and they actually make it spicy if you ask. Food quality is great, the people are nice, and the prices aren't outrageous. My go to is the general two, Kung pao chicken, and mu favorite the Chinese dry chili with beef.

Shockingly delicious and every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. Zero complaints about any of them. Highly recommend sticking with the classical Chinese dishes as it's apparent the chef is extremely experienced and easily compares with some of the best restaurants in China or Taiwan. Some standout dishes are the salt and pepper chicken which was the juiciest chicken I have ever tasted in my life and was the absolute highlight of the entire meal. The lion's head meatball is also not to be missed and the friend noodle we had was great. Portion sizes are good and the prices are reasonable. Overall restaurant ambiance is extremely upscale and the tea pots they use make you feel like royalty. Can't recommend this place enough.

This has always been my go-to for sushi. Tonight I don’t know what we got but it wasn’t fresh fish. Cell cultured maybe? Wrong texture and no flavor. Did they get bought out or have they just joined all the other food places and are buying from Sysco. Very sad.

A Hit with Ramen and Sushi Lovers! I recently took my son and his friends, all big fans of ramen and sushi, to Okada Ramen and Sushi at One Loudoun, and it was a fantastic decision! We were definitely not disappointed. The ramen bowls are generously sized, and the fact that these hungry teenagers devoured every last drop speaks volumes about how delicious it was. They also enjoyed the gyoza and, of course, the sushi, which was a big hit all around. One thing to note is that while I couldn't find their sushi menu online initially, they provided it right away when we asked. It turns out they do have a link for an online sushi menu, which I'll be sure to check out before our next visit to plan ahead. I found their prices to be bit more as compared to other ramen and sushi spots in the area. Our waiter let us know about a great deal: on Mondays, ramen bowls are just $14 or $15, a nice discount from the usual $18.75. Overall, Okada ramen and Sushi offers quality food, a pleasant ambiance, and excellent service. It's a solid recommendation for anyone looking for delicious ramen and sushi in the One Loudoun area!

This was a fun place! They have two sections to eat in, so you can choose to sit at a regular table or have the hibachi experience. It was the first time my young kids had been to a hibachi, and they loved it. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. They had it decorated beautifully. We were seated quickly and had our orders taken shortly after. The servers were friendly and entertaining. The food was delicious, reasonably priced with good sized portions. We got edamame and spring rolls for appetizers, which were yummy, and the chicken with vegetables, fried rice and noodles. Everything was great! I have a feeling we will be back again!

This is an amazing Hibachi to go to! The staff are awesome at handling kids and they are really friendly. When I checked out this hibachi place with my family, I decided to go to the hibachi side of the restaurant. And let me tell you that they put on a great show. Kids were a little afraid of fire that they put on during the show, but staff handled it with ease. Food was also amazing. Despite being a bit expensive, would definitely recommend for other families. 5 stars!

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I also believe in being honest about my experience. My friend and I visited Sakura Grill, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to what we were expecting. We waited well over 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our table to take our drink order. Because of the delay, we decided to order our drinks and food at the same time so we wouldn't have to wait even longer. When our sushi arrived, everything was placed on one plate without anyone asking whether we'd prefer it separated. It may seem minor, but it's a thoughtful question to ask, especially since some guests may have allergies or simply prefer separate plates. There were also a few interactions that felt unprofessional. Our waitress asked my friend if her hair was her "real hair," which seemed unrelated to our dining experience and made the interaction feel uncomfortable. As for the food, the Crazy Roll was just average, especially for the price. I expected better quality and presentation. The shrimp fried rice was decent, although I think the shrimp itself could have been seasoned a bit more before being added to the rice. Overall, the service, food quality, and experience didn't justify the cost for me. There were moments where it felt like other tables were receiving a much different level of attention, and while I can't say why, it definitely impacted how I felt about my visit. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this place, but based on my experience, I don't see myself returning or recommending this location. If you're looking for great sushi, attentive service, and an overall welcoming dining experience, I'd personally recommend exploring some of the other options in the Ashburn area instead.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. While the location was convenient, the experience was disappointing. We ordered the Chicken Yaki Soba and Chicken Teriyaki Rice for a to-go order. The food was noticeably salty, but the main issue was the ridiculously small portion sizes. We spent over $50, and the amount of food we received absolutely did not justify the cost. While I understand that prices are increasing everywhere, the lack of value here is unacceptable. We will not be returning.

This place has been around for a long time and has above average Chinese food. It won't blow you away but it's consistently pretty good. I had not visited in a long time since I no longer live near the area but happened to drop in for dinner. I had the orange peel chicken which is better than a lot of places. The portion was generous and the price was reasonable. The restaurant itself could really use a remodel. As I said before, it's been around for a long time and you can sort of tell by the inside of the restaurant.

Thoroughly disappointed. The Kung Pao chicken was good several years ago, has declined in quality… the beef I was recently served was honestly terrible. It slid down my throat like wet clay. Would not come back. Extreme prices

I wish I could rate them higher as this was a staple growing up. I returned with my family excited to dine here again, and the host was incredibly rude. The restaurant only had a few tables seated and even with a reservation they wouldn’t sit us. There were no chefs out on the floor, and seemed incredibly understaffed for a holiday. After waiting awhile and never having been updated/taken to seats, we ended up leaving. I hope they consider customer experience a bit more in the future as this was an establishment that was well loved in the past.

I had 2 rolls as well as sake. I loved the presentation and I felt welcome as soon as I came into the restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere and felt like I was taken care of by the staff. Wonderful visit and I will come back for more sushi. Will also have to try their hibachi next time.

Always a good time, always a lot of delicious food, and always some yummy leftovers to take home afterwards. The chefs are all very entertaining and have lots of tricks up their sleeves. Well worth the time invested. Bring the kids!

Im gonna be honest. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY OR CARRYOUT. We got significantly less food than the portions would have been if we ate at the restaurant. What you see pictured here was $40!!!!! Insanely small for that price…. $20 bucks for 9 shrimp… Such a rip off and it was barely warm when i got it. I live 5 minutes from the restaurant so there is no excuse. Thoroughly disappointed and will not be ordering this ever again…wouldve done 0 stars if i could

We had reservations with another family for Xmas Eve. I know it’s difficult and busy. They kept telling us it was going to be 15 min. When it hit an hour after our reservation, we left as no one seems to care we were still waiting. Our friends stayed and were seated 70 min after our reservation and then no one came over for 15 min so they left and went to happy pig. We will never give them another opportunity as they should have communicated to us how long a the wait was and how over booked they were.

Frequently asked questions about sushi bars in Ashburn

    What is a sushi bar?

A sushi bar is a restaurant or a section within a restaurant that specializes in serving sushi and other Japanese dishes.

What does sushi taste like and why is it healthy?

Sushi offers a diverse range of flavors, from the delicate sweetness of fresh fish to the savory umami of seaweed and the subtle tang of vinegared rice. It is often considered healthy due to the lean protein from fish, beneficial omega-3 fatty acids, and the presence of vitamins and minerals in ingredients like seaweed and vegetables.

How much does sushi typically cost?

The cost of sushi can vary widely depending on the ingredients, the type of establishment, and your location within Ashburn. While some rolls might be quite affordable, premium ingredients like certain types of fish can increase the price.

How long is sushi good for and how safe is it to eat?

Sushi is best enjoyed fresh, typically within 1-2 days of preparation when refrigerated properly. The safety of sushi largely depends on the freshness and quality of the ingredients, particularly the fish, and how it is handled and prepared by the establishment.

What are the different types of sushi?

Sushi encompasses a variety of styles, including nigiri (fish over vinegared rice), maki (rolls wrapped in seaweed), sashimi (sliced raw fish without rice), and temaki (hand-rolled cones).
