I can tell all the staff genuinely like their job and have a true love for animals. I especially appreciate how informative they are of my pet's current condition and what preventative care would benefit my pet in the future to optimize their quality of life. This clinic sends follow up messages to check in on your pet after appointments and also provides pricing estimates that help me decide on future care for my pet. I can’t say enough good things about Caring Hands! I recently moved from Arlington to Ashburn, and finding a new veterinarian can be nerve-wracking—but we truly hit the jackpot here. Everyone is incredibly kind, gentle, and thoughtful, and it’s clear that the entire team genuinely loves animals. They also take wonderful care of the humans! They take the time to explain what is happening, answer questions, and make sure you feel informed and comfortable. You never feel as though they are rushing through your appointment just to get to the next one. I grew up in a small town, and Caring Hands has that same warm, personal, small-town approach—where you feel like you and your pet are truly known and cared for. I’m so grateful we found them!

Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Ashburn has been our go-to veterinary practice for our two dogs. The staff is always friendly, caring, and attentive, and we truly appreciate that they follow up to check on our dogs after their visits. The one concern I’ve noticed over the years is the significant increase in prices. About nine years ago, we paid around $75 for a veterinary visit, and now the cost is over $100 not counting vaccinations, etc. The increases seemed to happen gradually and without much communication, which was disappointing. We have been happy with the care our dogs have received, but if we decide to get another pet in the future, we will likely research and compare other veterinary options in the area.

Caring Hands has been absolutely phenomenal with both of our dogs! From routine visits to a couple of unexpected emergencies, their team has consistently gone above and beyond. They’ve always found a way to fit us in quickly, and every time, they take the time to thoroughly explain what’s going on so we feel informed and confident about our pets’ care. What truly sets them apart is their compassion. The last two visits, we had the same vet tech, and she was incredible—so warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in our dogs’ well-being. You can instantly tell that everyone there truly loves animals and treats them like family. I wholeheartedly recommend Caring Hands to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care. My husky Kodak had a great experience at Caring Hands! I wanted to find a new vet in the area so we went in for a check up and vaccine update. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The vet and vet tech seemed to genuinely care about Kodak and his wellbeing, plus he got lots of treats, so he was happy!

Morgan at Woof Gang is the best! This was Chiku’s first grooming appointment, and she made it such a wonderful experience. Chiku is a mini Goldendoodle, and after I showed her a reference photo, she groomed him exactly the way I wanted—he looked perfect! She was patient, caring, and Chiku absolutely loved her. Morgan even went the extra mile and sent me grooming photos, which I really appreciated. He came home looking adorable and smelling amazing. Her attention to detail and genuine love for dogs truly show. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had such a wonderful experience at Wood Gang! This was our dog’s very first haircut, and the entire team was incredibly patient and kind with him. As nervous dog parents, we really appreciated how well they cared for him and made the experience positive. The grooming itself was done surprisingly quickly, and they even gave us a 15-minute heads-up before he was ready for pickup, which was so helpful. And the haircut? Absolutely adorable! He looks fantastic. The shop itself is also the cutest space. You can tell they truly care about both the dogs and their owners. We’re so happy we found them and will definitely be back!

We love Wolf Gang Bakery! It’s such a nice, intimate grooming salon and shop. We were shopping around for a great experience in Ashburn and we are so lucky to have found them. Our dog Nero has never looked better and his grooming lasts forever. We now do a full every other month and mini in between. There is no comparison. Come here for your pet needs!

"We knew our goldendoodle had some matting and discussed it openly with the groomer before the appointment. We specifically chose Woof Gang because it markets itself as a premium boutique grooming experience — the kind of place where you pay more for patience, communication, and individualized care instead of a rushed ‘assembly line’ shave-down like you’d expect at a big box pet store. We were told to expect roughly a 3-hour appointment. Instead, after barely more than an hour, we received a text that our dog was ready. When we arrived, our dog had been completely shaved down — unevenly at that — with virtually none of the coat preserved. To make matters worse, we were charged a ‘de-matting fee’ despite the fact that no meaningful de-matting appears to have been attempted. The explanation we later received was essentially that brushing through the matting would have ‘taken too much time.’ That’s exactly the problem. We paid boutique pricing ($145) expecting boutique-level effort and care, not the fastest possible shortcut. What’s especially frustrating is the completely contradictory communication from staff and management: * At pickup, my wife was told all groomers are the same experience level. * When I called to complain, the manager (Jamie) suddenly explained that not all groomers have the same skill level, and that a ‘more skilled’ groomer completed the job much faster than the person who did intake would have. * We were also told the dog was too matted for real de-matting, despite the fact that this was never clearly communicated during intake as an unavoidable full shave. If a full shave was truly the only humane option, then say that upfront before starting. Don’t set expectations for a thoughtful grooming session, rush the appointment in one-third the quoted time, and then charge extra for de-matting that never happened. Jamie was polite, but the apologies felt rehearsed and empty. No accountability, no adjustment to the bill, and no meaningful resolution — just ‘I’ll have to speak with the owner.’ The before-and-after speaks for itself. We trusted Woof Gang with our dog because of the premium reputation and pricing. Unfortunately, the experience felt rushed, misleading, and entirely inconsistent with the level of service they advertise."

I could not be happier with our experience at Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming today. My 6 month old 50lb Bernadoodle named Rowan, went in and saw Jamie, and our experience was phenomenal from top to bottom! Unfortunately, we did not go see her or Woof Gang for his first groom, and I wish we had! We went with a different company, and we had a really difficult experience with his first groom. The experience left both myself and him very nervous for another one. His first was only a partial groom with that company in order to introduce grooming, and I had been dealing with repercussions of that groom at the vet for the last few months since Rowan had gone (lack of communication throughout, nicks from grooming tools in sensitive areas, ear infections, my puppy now being anxious around grooming tools, etc.) Need less to say, I went in to Woof Gang today so nervous for a full groom appointment, after what we had been going through. To my complete relief and elation the staff at Woof Gang were so patient, accommodating, understanding, and kind, and especially our groomer Jamie! She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable! Embarrassingly, I was so nervous, I had forgotten his vaccine paperwork at the house! They were so kind and understanding, they let me text it to them, and then bring them the hard copy when I returned to pick him up! It was so incredibly nice of them! As we spoke before the groom, Jamie really listened to every concern and request when I arrived, and made me and Rowan feel so welcome and heard, especially with all of the complications of the last groom so fresh. I left him at his appointment feeling so at ease and like he was in wonderful hands, unlike with the other company. He came out looking fantastic and exactly as I had requested. The best part was seeing my pup look so unbelievably happy and relaxed. I could tell that he absolutely loved Jamie and he just kept giving her kisses, and he was more than content to go with her anywhere! No signs of the nerves, anxious behavior, or red "whale eyes" like with the other company either! What a relief! She was a wonderful communicator and very knowledgeable from beginning to end, and she walked me through all of the feedback and how his groom went. I cannot thank Jamie and Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming enough! We will absolutely be returning and the experience today has earned our trust and loyalty as a customer. Also, I just want to mention that their baked goods are made with such care and love. My son enjoyed picking out a beautiful baked treat for his puppy to enjoy when we got home. This was the proverbial icing on the cake! Rowan loved it! Lastly, I’d like to mention that the price was also unbelievably reasonable for the service provided! Especially compared to the fact that the other company charged double only for the partial groom, compared to what Woof Gang’s price was for the full (and Rowan was twice the size and coat)! I want to thank Jamie and Woof Gang so much for taking such wonderful care of my fur baby and for helping us to have such a positive experience for the whole family. This is absolutely a groomer I would trust with my puppy as he grows, and I would recommend Jamie and Woof Gang to anyone in the area looking for a reliable, supportive, patient, and caring groomer! I cannot recommend them and Jamie enough!

My chihuahua and I moved out here from California a couple years back. Ashburn Veterinary Hospital was recommended by my landlord. All of the staff are wonderful and have taken the best care of my dog, the light of my life. While my chihuahua has always received dental care, the quality of the care she received at Ashburn Veterinary Hospital is better than anywhere I’ve taken her before. After her first dental cleaning with them her teeth looked better than ever, and she had a remarkable improvement in her energy and playfulness. Even after moving further from Ashburn Veterinary Hospital I still go out of my way to bring her there because I know she is in good hands. My chihuahua is 14 going on 15.

We took our puppy to the vet for his first time visit! Our puppy was so happy and excited! I truly loved our experience with the team. They really love what they do. Very informative and helpful. We asked a lot of questions and they took their time answering us. So very happy that we have chosen this place for our pet!

I would like to share my experience with Ashburn Veterinary Hospital because I feel it would be a disservice to other clients not to. We recently moved to the area and needed to establish care with a veterinarian for our dog’s routine annual vaccines. I brought my young, healthy dog in with no complaints or concerns other than needing his yearly vaccines. We were scheduled with DR. ELIZABETH DOMINGUEZ. During the exam, Dr. Dominguez listened to my dog’s heart and told me she heard a very loud and serious grade 4 heart murmur. As a nurse practitioner, I was surprised and somewhat skeptical because my dog had been seen by another veterinarian only four months prior and had never been noted to have anything abnormal with his heart. I asked whether stress or positioning could affect what she was hearing, but she assured me she was confident in her assessment and recommended that we see a cardiologist urgently for an echocardiogram. She referred us to a cardiology group in the area. When we called and explained the diagnosis, they were also concerned about a newly discovered grade 4 murmur and worked us into their schedule quickly. For the next two weeks our family was extremely worried that our dog might have a serious heart condition. My husband, who is a surgeon, took time off from work to take our dog to the cardiology appointment. At that visit, two veterinarians independently examined him and listened to his heart. Both stated that his heart sounded completely normal and that they did not hear any murmur. They even asked us if we were sure that we saw a licensed veterinarian and not a student! Dr Dominguez created a very negative reputation for herself with this practice as they were shocked that we were referred there. Afterward, I contacted Ashburn Veterinary Hospital and spoke with the office manager and the medical director. I want to acknowledge that the practice handled the situation professionally. They were extremely apologetic for the stress this caused and the medical director refunded the cost of our cardiology visit. I truly appreciate the effort the practice made to fix Dr. Dominguez’s mistake. I also want to emphasize that this review reflects my specific experience with ELIZABETH DOMINGUEZ, not the entire hospital. The staff and management were responsive and supportive when the issue was brought to their attention. This provider was arrogant, unknowledgeable, negligent, and dangerous in her practice. I hope she learns from this so she does not subject other families to this. I will still be coming to this office, but I will never allow this person to touch my dog again.

First in-person visit service***** First post-visit service** Changed vets due to move. Friendly staff and vet service. Dog had an easy annual wellness exam as expected. Had no complaints until after the visit. Take my personal disappointment as you will. Dog needs new flea/tick meds. They gave me a hand written prescription (that's a new one to me). I submitted an order with an online retailer as I typically do and selected the option for them to contact my vet for approval. That's where things halted. The online retailer requires approval from the vet or the prescription to be physically mailed to them? And apparently Ashburn VH told the retailer they will NOT send them the prescription, but the client (I) could come pick up another piece of paper to mail to them myself. Go figure, I can't find the piece of paper Ashburn VH gave to me anymore. So I'd have to go back to their office to get a new one to mail it in to get the dog's meds? It's a big little thing. I've had different veterinarians over the years for my pets and never had to be involved in getting a prescription approved/sent to order meds before. What's the big deal? Why not just go pick up a new piece of paper and mail it in myself? Ok. But exactly- same question to the vet, why can't they, for their customers. Appreciate their prompt responses to my inquiries, but disappointed in the unexpected challenges of getting my dog's meds refilled, and after spending hundreds at the vet in order to be able to order the hundreds in meds again.

We recently switched to this vet and have had such a great experience. The team is incredibly attentive, compassionate, and communicates really well. My cat Lily had 8 teeth extracted, and they took amazing care of her. They explained everything clearly and followed up to make sure she was recovering well, which meant a lot. You can tell they truly care, and their pricing is very reasonable. So glad we found them—highly recommend!

We first went here on a random day because our cat was not acting right… it was surgery day and they squeezed us in. Everyone was so friendly and kind.. this last time LeoBear needed hours annual shots and they gave him to him and he didn't make a sound and we didn't even know they did it… they were that good… I'm so grateful for how they treated my baby. Even on the way home he was good didn't cry like he usually does in the way home from the vet

Everyone I interacted with at this clinic has been helpful and pleasant . I am glad I found this clinic when I moved to this area . When my sweet kitty was ill they made time for him to come right in, they took amazing care of him saving his life. They cared for us as well answering all our questions and making us feel welcome and loved. They helped facilitate his transfer to the overnight ER vet and back to keep him safe.

Finding a veterinarian practice you completely trust isn't easy, especially when your dog is getting older and every decision feels important. After more than 12 years with another veterinary practice, I was nervous about making a change. I'm so glad I did. Dr. David Iskandar, better known to his clients as Dr. David, at Nova Animal Hospital in Ashburn, VA has been wonderful with Parker. Dr. David is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. He takes the time to answer every question, never makes me feel rushed, and explains what he's thinking in a way that makes sense. I always leave feeling like we have a plan instead of wondering what to do next. The staff has been equally impressive. Everyone I've met has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring. Being open seven days a week has been such a comfort, and every time I've called because I was worried about Parker, they've found a way to get her in that same day. As a dog mom, that means more than I can say. Over the years, I've had enough experience with veterinarians to know the difference between a good one and an exceptional one. Dr. David is exceptional.

Absolutely love Dr. Ishkandar and the entire staff. He saved my FIP persian after several other veterinarians could not properly diagnose her. They also care for my very large family of Persian and Himalayans. Exceptional care at a reasonable price and great hours. My goto place!

Our senior dog had an accident and had to be put down. We had never taken him to Nova Animal Hospital before but they were open on the Sunday it happened. Dr Schlossberg and the entire team were incredibly warm, compassionate and supportive on this very difficult day for our family. One day when we are ready to get a new pet, we will absolutely plan on using Nova Animal Hospital for that pets care.

We had a great experience at Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun at Brambleton. Dr. Rawls was wonderful and very understanding of all the concerns we had as new pawrents. She patiently answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable during our puppy’s first visit and also gave us a thoughtful goodie bag Our pup really seemed to enjoy his new patient appointment too! We truly appreciated the care and kindness from the whole team.

We’ve found our vet home! The staff is always friendly and they are super quick to respond to messages or texts. We’ve loved all the doctors we have seen so far and prices are definitely good for the area! The docs are not pushy, nor do they guilt trip for not wanting all optional services, which I appreciate so much! He wasn’t just a pet, he was truly part of my family, a part of me. Even now, almost two months later, the pain is still in my heart. During that very difficult day, your team showed so much kindness and compassion. You treated Aslan with respect and gave me the space and support I needed, and I will never forget that. When I received the package with his paw print and the handwritten notes, I was deeply emotional. I read every message one by one, and each one meant so much to me. In such a painful time, what you did was incredibly meaningful. Thank you to every single staff member who took the time to write those notes. I truly appreciate it. I will always remember your kindness. And I hope that one day, I will meet Aslan again in a better place.❤️‍🩹🐈

Convenient location to our home with the kindest vets and techs. I had a problem getting ear medication into my cat’s ear and they had me come back the next day and show me again how to do it. I feel like my kitty is in good hands here.

Dr. Santos and the rest of the staff are wonderful. My Max had his neuter surgery last week. Dr. Santos met with me when I dropped Max off, he called just prior to surgery to give me a status and then called again afterwards. I felt fully informed and comfortable throughout the process. Max went home with everything he needed and is healing quickly. I have heard from others at different practices that their experiences were not nearly as great as mine and I am so appreciative for the great care Max received. I highly recommend Dr. Santos and Ashburn Village Animal Hospital.

We cannot thank Dr. Keenen, Nick and the rest of the AVAH staff enough for everything they have done for us, as our dog Lillie struggled through the aging process with various issues including extremely painful arthritis and cancer at the very end. They were kind, caring and compassionate. They answered numerous emails and phone calls and worked with us as we tried out various treatments for her to try to ease her pain. And all along, keeping in mind the situation we were in and the costs associated with everything and we never felt like it was being recommended that we spend a ton of money on unnecessary tests which we have had at other local vets. All and all I could not say enough wonderful things about them. And Lillie would agree as she gave Dr. Keenen one last kiss on the nose before she said goodbye to us.

We are a large family with several pets, and from our very first appointment, Dr. Pantín was absolutely amazing. She genuinely cares about her furry patients and takes the time to thoroughly evaluate each one. Her professionalism, compassion, and dedication have always made us feel confident that our pets were receiving the best possible care. This is why I am very sad to see her leaving the practice. At the same time, I completely understand and wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors. Unfortunately, while our experiences with Dr. Pantín have been exceptional, I cannot say the same about some of our interactions with the front desk staff and certain assistants. Over the years, I have encountered customer service that felt unprofessional and, at times, disappointing. Even simple requests, such as obtaining a prescription, have occasionally become unnecessarily difficult. I truly hope the practice takes this feedback into consideration and continues to improve the client experience. For a hospital that cares for beloved family members, having team members who are passionate about animals and customer service is incredibly important. Despite these concerns, I have recommended this practice to friends and family because of the outstanding care provided by Dr. Pantín. I sincerely hope the hospital continues to grow and improve, and I wish Dr. Pantín all the success she deserves.

Owner has wealth of knowledge especially when it comes to boxer breed. She was very helpful in selecting the right food for our 1 year old boxer. Their grooming services are great as well.

Very helpful dog living owners. Their service is friendly and prompt and the care to make sure they deliver for you, the customer. The go the extra mile. We had our dog washed and groomed there and he has never smelled so good and for so long! They are also quick. I dropped our dog off. And one hour later he was ready, cleaned, and furminated!

The groomer is very rude, we got our appointments confused ( appointment was at 12:15 they called us at 12:25 ) I apologized and asked if we can still bring him in since we live 3-5 mins away and they said yes. My husband went there and the groomer said he’s always late but we’ve only ever been there twice and this was the first time we were late so my husband left. I called to speak with the girl that called me and she said the groomer saw my dog had matting and didn’t have enough time . THE GROOMER NEVER EXAMINED HIS COAT OR EVEN TOUCHED HIM TO CHECK. DON’T tell us to come in and then tell us you can’t see us when we arrive .

Do not take your dog here to get groomed. They cut my dog twice now and made her bleed. The owner is cold hearted and would not talk with me.

No other groomers in the past nine years have paid so much attention to details as the groomers have the best in the area. We have four babies that we take monthly to Good Dog Rocky.

Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can truly tell they love what they do. Ajax actually loves coming here (which says a lot for a vet visit 🐾). He’s always greeted with such warmth and patience, and that immediately puts us at ease. We never feel rushed, and every question is answered thoroughly and thoughtfully. Dr. Myzie’s attention to Ajax is especially reassuring. The care, detail, and compassion shown at every visit make us feel completely confident that Ajax is in the very best hands. It’s such a relief knowing he’s so well cared for every single time. We’re so grateful to have found a veterinary team we trust wholeheartedly. Highly, highly recommend!

What an amazing veterinary practice. The doctors are amazing and the staff is great. They have always been sensitive to our needs and care for our senior kitties so well. When we finally had to put our 17 year old cat down they sent us the most touching card with messages from the entire staff. This is an amazing place

Worth the trip from Woodbridge to Ashburn. The staff here is friendly and gentle with my rabbit. Explained everything to me thoroughly and answered any questions I had. No wait time and understood that I was coming 15 minutes late. The price is very reasonable and I got discounted due to my insurance.

Our deep concerns and the reason we rated this office one star is due to: uncollaborative treatment and care, in addition to expensive, unneeded tests before basic ones. We took our dog to Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun for help with diarrhea. While they ran a blood panel (which was normal), they bypassed basic, foundational diagnostics like a fecal test. Instead, we were given a frightening provisional diagnosis and immediately directed to an expensive, inconclusive X-ray. When that came back inconclusive, they pushed for further costly testing, with the implication that surgery would be the next step for our older, service dog. When I spoke directly with the vet to try to get more information and discuss a care plan that works for everyone, the interaction felt cold, and was certainly uncollaborative. It felt as though they were arguing to defend their alarming provisional diagnosis while carefully avoiding definitive answers. Distressed by the experience, my family sought a second opinion from another veterinarian. The difference was night and day! The second vet started with basic testing, including a fecal test, and put together a clear, logical plan using antibiotics and over-the-counter fiber. They thoroughly explained why the condition was not immediately life-threatening and what specific signs to look out for. Our service dog / smallest member of our family felt better that evening and was recovered in 2 days. The emotional toll this took on my family was severe! We went from being told our dog might not last the night to finding out the issue was entirely treatable with basic medicine and fiber. We have officially switched veterinary practices and cannot recommend this clinic based on our experience.

You know… i feel so conflicted about rating this place one star. The vet i dealt with was AMAZING and the vet nurses that assist the vet? AMAZING. If awesome vets is what youre looking for, this really is a gem of a place. I called this establishment concerned for my new kitten and her clawing at her ears. They saw me QUICKLY and they were ALL sweet and kind and some of the best vet care i ever could have hoped for. Really. Theyre the best. I am rating them one star because of price transparency and what i feel was deceitful bait and switch practices when it came to billing me for pet care. I brought my kitten in for issues with her ears. The first visit was 400$. During that visit, i asked to set up a spay and microchip. I was given a quote for the entire procedure, which advertised a feline spay package which included the price of EVERYTHING for the spay, preop labs, post op visits etc. i was told the total price would be 1066$. They set up an appointment for a few days later for me to do labs. I was told id pay 350$ at that visit as a deposit. And the remaining balance would be due monday after her spay procedure. So imagine my surprise when i come in and have the labs done and im hit with a nearly 700$ bill after the fact. I was trying to tell the woman at the front desk, that is not what i was told id have to pay. Her response was basically, "well you were told wrong. So the total is $635. How will you be paying". I kept trying to figure out how i could be told one price beforehand and then get a price nearly double that after the fact with no explanation. The woman was trying to rush me out of the office by telling me to just take it up with the office manager (who was not there). I was put on the spot and i was so uncomfortable. I merely was trying to understand how this happened. I was not rude at any point, but i felt she was. Its the worst feeling to be bait and switched like that and then have someone treat YOU like youre the problem for trying to ask questions and understand. Very unprofessional. My experience with the wonderful staff was ruined by this. That is not how you treat people! We are all out here trying to keep our heads above water with everything happening in the world and give our pets a good life and to be treated like this was beyond horrible! I was lied to about pricing and treated like a criminal when i was attempting to ask questions. I just want others to be aware of this before attempting to have pets seen here. Make sure you verify price MANY times with multiple people and get everything in writing if you can.

I would never take my dog here for grooming again. It took almost 6 hours. He came home with a really bad haircut several necks and just a terrible haircut plus injuries. I called to complain and they were completely indifferent about my experience. I called a second time to complain and still the indifference to my animals injuries was shocking.

The price is right – very fair for the services my pup needed – and the people were nice. However, I was expecting something different. The website emphasized a low stress environment with certain protocols in place to make each dog feel safe/comfortable. This was not that. I was stressed just standing in the shop/waiting area. So many dogs in the back, barking like crazy. Extremely loud. I don't have a solution, all I mean to say is that if you have a dog that is anxious in such environments, you may want to reconsider. My guy came out of there extremely stressed.

Love this Grooming location! The Groomers are exceptionally great at grooming my long-haired chihuahua Mango. The best thing is that I can tell that they really adore every 4 legged buddy that walks through the door! Plus this store has the most adorable treats that I can give Mango right after his grooming. In the beginning I was kind of hesitant of going to a grooming location, but they assured me that everyone was wearing masks through the whole process and that if I wanted I could even do a curbside drop-off and pick up! Overall amazing service and I will definitely be back for next time!

I went to this groomer 3 times now and first time they did such a good job. I was so happy to find a good groomer for my pup. But second time I went they charged more than last time for no reason which upset me but my pup looked okay but a little scared. I shouldn’t have taken him the third time because they literally scarred my pup he was terrified to go and when I got him back one of his paw wasn’t trimmed properly. I saw later that his neck area was trimmed to the skin level and I could see like cut marks the next day. All I can say is that their quality dropped tremendously and my pup literally was shaking while going to them. Well all I can say is this is the last time my pup will be going here.
