We absolutely love Animal Medical of Loudoun (Ashburn)! From the moment we walk in, the entire staff is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can truly tell they love what they do. Ajax actually loves coming here (which says a lot for a vet visit 🐾). He’s always greeted with such warmth and patience, and that immediately puts us at ease. We never feel rushed, and every question is answered thoroughly and thoughtfully. Dr. Myzie’s attention to Ajax is especially reassuring. The care, detail, and compassion shown at every visit make us feel completely confident that Ajax is in the very best hands. It’s such a relief knowing he’s so well cared for every single time. We’re so grateful to have found a veterinary team we trust wholeheartedly. Highly, highly recommend!

What an amazing veterinary practice. The doctors are amazing and the staff is great. They have always been sensitive to our needs and care for our senior kitties so well. When we finally had to put our 17 year old cat down they sent us the most touching card with messages from the entire staff. This is an amazing place

Worth the trip from Woodbridge to Ashburn. The staff here is friendly and gentle with my rabbit. Explained everything to me thoroughly and answered any questions I had. No wait time and understood that I was coming 15 minutes late. The price is very reasonable and I got discounted due to my insurance.

Our deep concerns and the reason we rated this office one star is due to: uncollaborative treatment and care, in addition to expensive, unneeded tests before basic ones. We took our dog to Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun for help with diarrhea. While they ran a blood panel (which was normal), they bypassed basic, foundational diagnostics like a fecal test. Instead, we were given a frightening provisional diagnosis and immediately directed to an expensive, inconclusive X-ray. When that came back inconclusive, they pushed for further costly testing, with the implication that surgery would be the next step for our older, service dog. When I spoke directly with the vet to try to get more information and discuss a care plan that works for everyone, the interaction felt cold, and was certainly uncollaborative. It felt as though they were arguing to defend their alarming provisional diagnosis while carefully avoiding definitive answers. Distressed by the experience, my family sought a second opinion from another veterinarian. The difference was night and day! The second vet started with basic testing, including a fecal test, and put together a clear, logical plan using antibiotics and over-the-counter fiber. They thoroughly explained why the condition was not immediately life-threatening and what specific signs to look out for. Our service dog / smallest member of our family felt better that evening and was recovered in 2 days. The emotional toll this took on my family was severe! We went from being told our dog might not last the night to finding out the issue was entirely treatable with basic medicine and fiber. We have officially switched veterinary practices and cannot recommend this clinic based on our experience.

You know… i feel so conflicted about rating this place one star. The vet i dealt with was AMAZING and the vet nurses that assist the vet? AMAZING. If awesome vets is what youre looking for, this really is a gem of a place. I called this establishment concerned for my new kitten and her clawing at her ears. They saw me QUICKLY and they were ALL sweet and kind and some of the best vet care i ever could have hoped for. Really. Theyre the best. I am rating them one star because of price transparency and what i feel was deceitful bait and switch practices when it came to billing me for pet care. I brought my kitten in for issues with her ears. The first visit was 400$. During that visit, i asked to set up a spay and microchip. I was given a quote for the entire procedure, which advertised a feline spay package which included the price of EVERYTHING for the spay, preop labs, post op visits etc. i was told the total price would be 1066$. They set up an appointment for a few days later for me to do labs. I was told id pay 350$ at that visit as a deposit. And the remaining balance would be due monday after her spay procedure. So imagine my surprise when i come in and have the labs done and im hit with a nearly 700$ bill after the fact. I was trying to tell the woman at the front desk, that is not what i was told id have to pay. Her response was basically, "well you were told wrong. So the total is $635. How will you be paying". I kept trying to figure out how i could be told one price beforehand and then get a price nearly double that after the fact with no explanation. The woman was trying to rush me out of the office by telling me to just take it up with the office manager (who was not there). I was put on the spot and i was so uncomfortable. I merely was trying to understand how this happened. I was not rude at any point, but i felt she was. Its the worst feeling to be bait and switched like that and then have someone treat YOU like youre the problem for trying to ask questions and understand. Very unprofessional. My experience with the wonderful staff was ruined by this. That is not how you treat people! We are all out here trying to keep our heads above water with everything happening in the world and give our pets a good life and to be treated like this was beyond horrible! I was lied to about pricing and treated like a criminal when i was attempting to ask questions. I just want others to be aware of this before attempting to have pets seen here. Make sure you verify price MANY times with multiple people and get everything in writing if you can.
