Medics USA - Primary and Walk-In Care

I have been a patient of Dr. Roxana for over 6 years and is very happy. Yesterday, she was not at work. Therefore I had to see Dr. Soniya a nurse practitioner for the possible tick bite. She handled it very professionally. She was extremely thorough in her exam on my routine issues (I am a diabetic with heart disease).

**Very Disappointing Experience** I strongly do NOT recommend this office. My experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I went there for my annual exam, which should have been covered 100% by my insurance, but I was charged for a visit/service that I do not believe was provided. I contacted their billing department by email to ask for an explanation, but I never received a response. The lack of communication and the unexpected charge are completely unacceptable. I feel that I was charged for nothing and that the billing process was handled very poorly. **Please be very careful before going to this office and check your bill and insurance claim carefully. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was suffering from Asthma, which flared up. I was able to make the next day appointment with ease. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The front desk prioritized checking me in. I didn't have to wait much before the physician assistant called me in to take my vitals and essential health information. The doctor and nurse were super friendly and showed that they genuinely care. They patiently listened to me and performed the necessary tests. I felt like I was surrounded by family who candidly want me to feel better. Special thanks to Mr. Lopez and Dr. Khurmi. I am grateful and cannot describe in words the quality of service I received from this facility. I certainly recommend this provider.

With today's healthcare system going down hill, it's hard to find good care. The physician I met with at Medics USA was great. The (LONG) virtual wait time is no different than a regular walk-in appointment. But overall satisfied.

The  lady medical assistant is horrible. She has dark hair and is Hispanic, she was very unhelpful and I started crying because of how stressed out she was making me. I came in because I’m in a lot of pain and ALL she was concerned about was the fact that my baby stroller couldn’t fit inside the room. She told me to leave my stroller outside and hold one of my babies in my arms. I have two kids, I can’t do that. How am I supposed to be evaluated by a doctor when I’m holding a baby?? I asked her for a bigger room and she refused, saying "we don’t have any other rooms" and she just kept giving me an issue that the stroller can’t fit inside the room and that she can’t close the door because my stroller was blocking the door from closing. I told her to just leave the door open and she said she can’t for "HIPPA reasons". If you care about hippa and healthcare— you’d make things easy on your patients and actually help them. I even started crying in front of my kids because of how difficult she was being. The doctor eventually came in and immediately said to her to give me a bigger room, and she listened, but earlier when I asked for a bigger room she said " no we don’t have any bigger rooms". She didn’t even try to look for a bigger room, just automatically denied my request without trying to help me. What a horrible employee. The doctor is nice and so is the gentleman at the front desk, he was very helpful. But this assistant does not fit in with this staff. Everyone is nice and helpful except for her. She is not helpful at all and actually made my visit very bad, what a shame for her to work in healthcare when she has horrible manners.
