Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care

Visited the Alexandria location and I’m so impressed with this place. From the ease of appointments to the front desk staff, the MAs, and the providers, it’s been a seamless experience both times I’ve had to go in. Providers are empathetic and kind, and don’t seem rushed as in so many urgent care practices. Special shout out to PA Henry, who was so kind and took time to listen to my concerns and try to resolve them. Their space is also very clean which is a great bonus.

inova Gohealth @ Broadlands - I went in with my daughter to have treatment done for her injured foot. The receptionist was the rudest one I had ever seen in this area! She had had issues communicating politely, concisely and professionally. We finally understood her explanation, but her attitude was through the roof and took us by total surprise. We preferred to walk out of the center than getting treatment there. This branch will certainly lose customers if this receptionist continues to occupy the front desk. Hope the Inova management takes serious note of this abysmal service performance. *** UPDATE - The customer experience team had called me yesterday and indicated that they had discussed the incident with the employee and will be enhancing their training process to address such situations. I sincerely hope that their effort is successful so that guests who are already in pain doesn’t have to endure lackluster customer service. It’s a good indicator that GoHealth division of Inova listens to their customers.

We had a terrible experience at this urgent care facility. Even though we reserved a spot online, the intake process took nearly 40 minutes. There was only one nurse practitioner on duty, and patients were waiting for extended periods despite having reservations. When we asked the front desk receptionist about the delay, we were told that the online reservation only held our place in line, and we still had to wait an additional 45 minutes before being seen. During that time, the nurse practitioner appeared to have little activity, making the wait even more frustrating. My child was seen for an insect bite that had caused significant swelling and pain in her leg. Instead of prescribing antibiotics or providing more proactive treatment, we were advised to use over-the-counter medication. By the next day, the infection had worsened and continued to spread. Based on our experience, this urgent care center was disappointing and ineffective. I would suggest stay away from urgent cares. I would recommend going directly to the emergency room instead.

I am incredibly disappointed with the service here, specifically with the front desk staff. We arrived 20 minutes before closing because my daughter was experiencing symptoms that worried me for possible appendicitis. Instead of being welcoming, the front desk receptionist made it entirely obvious that she just wanted to finish her workday and leave. Without consulting a doctor, she flat-out refused to check us in and told us to go straight to the ER. Neither she nor I are medical doctors, which is exactly why I brought my daughter to an urgent care—to get a professional opinion on whether we needed the ER or if it was just a stomach bug. This isn't the first time we've encountered a short, rude attitude here, but turning away a sick child because you don't want to work until closing is unacceptable. We went to another urgent care facility where we were treated with kindness. After a proper examination, it turned out to be just a stomach bug, and she was given the right medication. Shame on this receptionist for letting her lack of work ethic compromise patient care. We will not be back. This was on saturday 6/13 at 9.35 pm.

My first time here and I was impressed. The check-in process was very simple and efficient. The staff were very friendly. The provider was kind and helpful with my needs. I recommend this place for all clinic healthcare! I was in and out in less then 30 minutes.
