Shady Grove Fertility in Fairfax

I have had a wonderful experience with the doctors and nurses at Shady Grove. Dr. Garde has been very supportive and informative throughout this entire process. The ultrasound tech (I wish I remembered her name) is wonderful — she has such a calming and compassionate presence that immediately makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Levens’ calm and reassuring demeanor is incredibly welcoming, and he always took the time to answer questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Lastly, Alice has been very responsive through the portal and has continued checking in with me after my procedure, which has meant so much. The entire team has made me feel genuinely cared for, supported, and valued throughout my experience. I look forward to working with this team to continue my fertility journey!

In all fairness, I didn’t want to write a review based on results, so I am reviewing now while we wait. I am technically a patient at the Fredericksburg office but I had two monitoring appointments and my retrieval at Fairfax. I can’t remember the names of the two women who drew my labs but they were great and made me laugh. The lady who did my ultrasound on Saturday was very nice, thoughtful and had an excellent bedside manner. For my retrieval today, I really appreciated our nurse Michelle. She was so bubbly and full of energy which I can imagine is hard to do on a consistent basis. She made me feel comfortable. Even the staff as you walk back to the procedure wish you good luck which was thoughtful. I didn’t spend too much time with Dr. Levens, but what stuck out to me was that safety is important to him.

I can’t thank Shady Grove Fertility enough for helping make our dream come true. Thanks to their incredible team, I am now pregnant after a successful IVF journey. Everyone was kind, compassionate, professional, and always there to answer my questions and support me through every step of the process. They made a difficult journey feel much less overwhelming, and I will always be grateful for their care. I highly recommend Shady Grove Fertility to anyone looking for exceptional fertility treatment.

Amazingly professional and supportive team. They made the process as easy as possible and without a doubt, Sue Rexroat, was a god send. My partner had a ton of anxiety and Sue being part of the team and staying alongside her as additional support was so sweet. Her compassion is incredible.

Alex Brouard was incredibly helpful with my insurance situation/medications and everything related to it. This whole process was emotionally draining, financially stressful, and just overall challenging, but she made it so much easier to navigate. She truly went above and beyond, even offering to help with other issues until everything was resolved. She also called multiple times to follow up and make sure everything was okay on my end, which I really appreciated. Thank you so much Alex 🙏🙏🙏

Even though I ended up not pursuing fertility treatment for unrelated reasons, am so grateful for the kindness that Dr. Gannon showed during my initial consultation, acknowledging how they can ease my comfort during the HSG process, and ultrasound, and comforted me on my past sexual trauma. Women’s pain gets downplayed way too much in healthcare, so it’s nice to have doctors like Dr. Gannon. I also like how the reception was upfront about the billing costs of the fertility tests for sperm testing and recommended cheaper options more suitable to our insurance. I will say $140 for sperm testing is a bit much, but fertility centers are typically on the more expensive side.
