Dr. Rana lacks compassion, professionalism, and respect for her patients. I have seen her now three times in the past month. Dr. Rana is very condescending and rude. In addition, she refuses to provide the care that is needed for her patients. I requested my records at the end of my last visit and she refused to provide the records at that time even make a note of the request. When I asked when I could expect to receive the records and how they would be provided, she only said that I would be contacted when they were available. On my second visit we were supposed to discuss my lab results from my first visit and a request for a RA letter. However, Dr. Rana left the office while I was undergoing additional testing and told her assistant to inform me that we would discuss my needs when she returned from vacation in a week. On the third and final visit, Dr. Rana disregarded my request for an RA letter. In addition, she breezed through my lab results and ignored a pathologists report stating further testing is needed; she saw a patient with a later appointment before me; she discussed my medical conditions in front of other patients in the waiting room; and she rushed me out of the office for another patient. If you are in need of a neurologist, please seek care elsewhere.
I was trying to get an appointment. I have a referral from CN loudoun Office. However, when I spoke to the receptionist, she told me that she didn't know what insurance they work with, and I asked her if I could please ask and she told me: no, I can't ask, if you want, ask YOURSELF, at YOUR INSURANCE. However, you want we can take your money and make an appointment for you anyway, no refunds. To which I responded that I had a reference that she said my insurance would cover but if she didn't know anything better she wouldn't make the appointment. How unfortunate that they have such an incompetent receptionist that she doesn't know basic things. First time in a long time that at a medical appointment they don't know if they work with my insurance or not, yet they want to take my money anyway. 😂As customer service they have to try to be kind to their customers, otherwise they will probably leave.
This was my first time seeing Dr Naila Naureen Rana and it will be the last. When I arrived at my appointment her office was completely empty and she was maning the front desk by herself. It looked like no one else was working there but her. When I went into the patient room, the paper covering the examination bench was torn and it looked like someone had already sat there prior to me coming in and it was not properly changed or decontaminated. I came in to the appointment with the impression that Dr. Rana knew the reason for my visit as, I was told my file was going to be faxed to her which included all of my information and results. However, she did not have any of this information when I got to my appointment. This forced me to try and pull up all the information on my phone during the visit. This was extremely unprofessional, if she needed specific paperwork and information it should have been noted prior me coming to the appointment. She then sighed and said "I don't have time for this". This statement is extremely baffling, as her office was completely empty and she seemed to not have cared nor taken the time to actually listen to my health concerns and what happened leading up to our visit. She ended up prescribing me the medication my pervious doctor did, however she never actually examined me or saw my prior scans. At the end of the appointment she gave me a prescription form, which is a very outdated practice, to take to my pharmacy. She was very rude and condescending in my appointment and I did not feel as though my concerns were taken into consideration. I was seeking guidance for a serious problem that I have been battling over the last year, but she did not care at all. I will not be going back to Dr Naila Rana. I hope that this review could warn other people that she does not have your best interest at heart.
I never have done a google review before but I just needed to warn others of how terrible Dr. Rana is. I had an appointment scheduled with her around this time last month. A day before the appointment, I received a voicemail from her office saying "she's not available tomorrow, are you able to reschedule for a later date?" and I ignored it. I went to the appointment the next day and there she was, there were other patients in the waiting room as well, so I had no idea what that voicemail was on about. The appointment with her was fine, I will give that she was thorough with her examination and questioning. She requested two MRI's for me and I was on my way out. Now here's where things go wrong. I call my insurance to have them approve of the MRI, I also gave them Dr. Rana's office info. They left her 3 voicemails, and an additional one with me on the line. Keep in mind this is over the course of two weeks. I got extremely unlucky and I lost my doctors order, so I kept calling multiple times a day every day but still no answer. I decided to go drive up to her office and speak to her in person, but to my surprise, the door was locked and there was no note posted on the door indicating why she wasn't there. I asked the radiology front staff downstairs if they knew where she was, they said they haven't seen her. Literally nothing was posted on any of her websites indicating why she was gone. It's like she vanished. The funny thing is, I can't even contact anyone on the phone to cancel my appointment with her. I believe she told me that her office was closed the week of 4th of July (who does that?) but her office was closed for weeks prior. Makes no sense. I bet you can find a better doctor off Wish and Temu. I never had a doctor ghost me like a messy one night stand, but instead of mediocre sex I got my pockets raided by a doctor so rude and unprofessional you'd think she has her residence in Mar a Lago. 0/10, do not recommend, do not waste your time, do not waste your dime.
STAY AWAY!!! If I could I would give her zero stars. This will be a long one. I was referred to a neurologist by a doctor at Patient First in Leesburg. The doctor that I was referred to couldn't see me for nearly a month, with all that has happened I should have just waited the month. Dr. Rana and her staff were not pleasant at all my first visit, Dr. Rana talked over me several times, I came in for an issue with both my hands, but for some reason Dr. Rana was more focused on the fact that I was over weight, asking me my eating habits, exercise routine, etc. Okay so maybe she thought that this was the cause of my issue but I knew that it wasn't. She ordered a MRI and blood work. She then wanted me to schedule a follow-up appointment for my hands and another appointment to do a test in her office. I asked if I could do it all at the same time and I was told no that they had to be done on different date....ummm what? I managed to convince them that I was not going to come for 2 more appointments that everything had to get done at the next appointment. When I showed up for the testing she had an intern shadowing her which was fine with me. Dr. Rana went over my blood test results and kept continuing to repeat herself about how shocked she was about my blood test result, that they were so good. After the test I was referred to a hand doctor. I received a small yellow sticky note with no name of the doctor, just a phone number. I also asked for a referral and was told that I would have to come back in a few days. That is when the real frustration began. My PCP and I called Dr. Rana's office several times and random times during the day leaving messages with no answer or call back. I also would stop by random times during the week at different times and the office door would be locked, I needed my reports and my referral. Fast forward to today, over a month later, my doctor's office randomly called and finally got to speak to Dr. Rana, they were told that it would be a few days before she could fax over my report, my doctor's office explained to her that this was unacceptable and stated the reasons why, Dr. Rana miraculously was able to send it over and my doctor's office got the report 2 minutes later. I do apologize for the lengthy review but I wanted everyone to know that if you are looking for a neurologist, Dr. Rana is not the one, KEEP LOOKING!!!!
