He was also very helpful when selecting the materials and provided a competitive price. Ramon Pineda served as Project Manager and did an excellent job communicating with us daily and scheduling deliveries, permits and work activities. He visited the job site frequently and was knowledgeable with all activities and could answer all of our trade questions. Alvaro Fernandez, the onsite Forman, provided excellent leadership and guidance to all onsite workers. He and the onsite workers provided superior craftsmanship with attention to detail. Everyone was respectful, easy to work with and focused on providing top customer satisfaction. We would definitely recommend and use GBC again for all bathroom remodeling needs.

We recently finished our kitchen remodel with GBC Kitchen & Bath Ashburn and it turned out amazing. GBC just finished remodeling our kitchen. My wife and I could not be happier with the renovation from start to finish. Alan was extremely helpful in consulting on the design of the cabinets, tiles and countertop. Ramon, the project manager, was excellent in keeping us informed about the job's progress as well as addressing any issues along the way. Finally, Alvaro and the crew completed the job in a timely and detailed fashion. My wife and I were very pleased with their workmanship. My husband and I just finished a complete renovation of our master bathroom, and I want to commend everyone at GBC for a job well done! After meeting with several other contractors, it didn't take us long to decide that GBC was the company we wanted to work with. At our first meeting with Alan, we were impressed with his patience and professionalism. He met with us several times and never pressured us into making a decision or accepting a generic suggestion based on price, or what others were doing, but instead gently guided us while learning what was important to us. Ramon's expertise and kindness were much appreciated during all the coordination, and if he wasn't here, he was always reachable. He and Alan worked together to address issues as they arose. There was never any finger pointing amongst them, nor at me when the error was mine. The in-house team of Alvaro, Jose and Lewis was a group who worked really well together and demonstrated exceptional knowledge and craftsmanship. Other than at lunchtime, they never stopped working from beginning of the day until it was time to clean up. Alvaro ranks up there as one of the most skilled, hardest working people, juggling tasks and getting them all done, in all my years working with contractors. Ariel and Sonja did a beautiful job on the tile, each with precision. Aleyna is an effective and personable admin person, with a keen eye for detail and also helped us with our selections. She will continue to be a valuable asset as she grows with the business. Lastly, the contractors used for specialty items (Modern Glass and Craft Countertops) did beautiful and professional work, and I would not hesitate to use either of them in the future. We love our new bathroom and we have already recommended GBC to friends, without hesitation.

We could not be happier with our bathroom renovation! From the design phase through final walkthrough, this team exceeded our expectations. Alan’s design work transformed our space into something truly stunning. The double vanity with the backlit mirror, warm wood accents, and lush greenery throughout feels both luxurious and livable. We are very happy with the service we received from Tonya and Jeff. From initial contact to product installation, the experience was smooth and pleasant. Based on the usage of each room and Tonya's guidance, we ordered a mix of blinds and cellular shades. She arrived on time and with a car load of product samples and color swatches. After the selections were made, Jeff arrived, also on time, and logged the exact measurements for each window. Once the blinds and cellular shades arrived from the manufacturer, Jeff handled the installations. He even vacuumed after the installations were completed. They are both very professional, personable and it was a joy to working with them. And yes, we highly recommend them.

The blinds in our house had to go. They were falling apart, and I was nervous to find the right window treatment for the *entire* house. I really enjoyed working with Tonya at Value Blinds and highly recommend them! Not only do they offer Hunter Douglass quality, but excellent customer service. She came to our house early evening with sample books in tote. We walked through our house to see which rooms deal with the biggest heat challenges. Our goal was energy efficiency so we opted for cellular shades. And for especially hot rooms, we went with black-out backing to maximize temperature stability. First, I really appreciated the samples and Tonya's patience (and encouragement) to try them out. We held up shades to our windows to check colors and textures. Since kids were home, they had a say in color selection for their rooms. With selections made and her preliminary measurements, she wrote up a quote while we made dinner. I appreciate her friendliness, patience, and excellent communication (esp by text). The blinds were ready for install in about 4 weeks. Technical measurement and installation with Jeff was smooth. Very professional, clean, efficient. He also gave quick operational tutorial and addressed my quesitons. The first night after installation we noticed the house retained the A/C better. We are so impressed and loving the shades! My teenager said she was "impressed" by her blackout shades after one night of use. They are seriously dark! I loved the option for top-down/bottom-up! This adds great privacy. We use this in bedrooms and are enjoying it so far.I also love the diffused light + privacy + insulation of the light-filtering shades. I open the curtains in our bedroom in the morning and don't need to turn on an overhead light! I also plan to get rid of curtains entirely in at least one room because the shades are so excellent.

Sean was great. Incredibly responsive and accommodating to make sure the work gets done to your satisfaction. He even took care of a few small side things to help make sure the work got done in a very timely manner. After meeting with a few vendors, their pricing was very reasonable — and Sean’s responsiveness and willingness to get the job done put them over the top. Lastly, the crew that did the concrete work was very efficient. I would 100% recommend them if you are looking for concrete and hardscaping work.

Bill and his team did a great job on our screened-in porch, deck, and patio. In addition to being a beautiful finished project, Bill was a partner throughout the process. From providing valuable feedback on design, to helping navigate HOA approvals, to following up after project completion. We enjoyed working with Bill and would use him and his team on future projects.

Sean had good communication via phone and text, helping us to explore options and finalize the design, and keeping us updated on status of permits, inspections, deliveries, and schedule. We used Five Star Painting to prepare our home to sell and I have to say it was the BEST experience. We worked with Nancy for a quote and she was very thorough, accommodating, and offered very helpful suggestions. Mehrdad was our Project Manager. Highly recommend Five Star Painting of Loudoun! They just finished painting and installing beadboard in our laundry room and four bathrooms, and the results are beautiful. Our initial experience with the Five Star painting and repair team was disappointing. However, senior management responded promptly to our concerns, quickly resolving the workmanship issues. The second team demonstrated attentive, professional service, successfully addressing our issues. I am pleased to report that Five Star Contractors' second team corrected the artistry issues as requested and even surpassed our expectations, completing the paint and repair work efficiently and on time. After meeting with several companies, Matt immediately stood out with his professionalism, design insight, and ability to give us confidence in the process. Visiting the Ashburn showroom and seeing materials and layouts firsthand made a huge difference in helping us visualize the final result. We completed a full down-to-the-studs master bathroom remodel and a guest bath refresh in our 1980s home, which still had its original builder-grade finishes. The master bath had a large soaking tub that took up most of the space, along with an opening in the ceiling from an old skylight—both of which presented design challenges that Matt and his team handled flawlessly. Working with Bull Run Kitchen and Bath at Ashburn has been a pleasure from the initial visit to the showroom to design the kitchen, choosing cabinets, installation of cabinets, installation of porcelain countertops and backsplash, and finally to new lighting and final approvals from the County for electrical, gas, and plumbing work. We had a great experience working with Mike and his team on our kitchen, bathroom, and laundry renovations. Mike was very communicative throughout the project, quick to address any issues that came up, and the work was completed in less than four weeks. Everyone we worked with was friendly, polite, and professional. One thing we especially appreciated was how Mike handled an issue with our quartz countertop. We were told at the last minute that our selected stone was out of stock and needed to choose something else. We couldn’t find an alternative we liked as much, and Mike was able to pull some strings and get us the exact quartz we originally wanted. Our designer, Eva, was friendly, accommodating, and helpful with guidance. Our only feedback would be to provide a few more options for finishes and materials. We were often shown only one or two choices, which felt a little restrictive since we prefer to compare several options before deciding. We did end up sourcing a few items ourselves, but Eva was still helpful along the way. Overall, we felt the pricing was good. As with most renovations, change orders can get expensive. We added heated floors in our bathroom, and the final cost was higher than the initial estimate, but the quality of the work was very good. We also noticed a few small issues after the project was completed, and Mike was quick to address them. We’re very happy with the finished renovations and would absolutely recommend Mike and his company.

MAC Design + Build created something truly special for our family. Derek had a vision for transforming our backyard into a space that felt peaceful, beautiful, and connected to our home — and MAC brought that vision to life in the most incredible way. After seeing the MAC sign in a neighbor’s yard, I cold called MAC on a Monday. I met with Justin that same week (after a very helpful conversation with Steve via phone) to go over what we’d like to do in the kitchen. It was a very informative conversation where he explained what would save money and where to spend the money. He listened to what would work for our family and then proposed solutions I hadn’t even thought of – I am very much looking forward to working with MAC.

MAC did an extensive renovation in 2021 for our 1986 Colonial Style home in Reston – complete renovation of the main floor (most interior walls removed, completely revamped kitchen, bathroom) and upstairs (new laundry, new master bath, hardwoods). Our home was featured on the Reston Home tour where MACs great work received well earned accolades. I've consulted with Justin subsequently about renovations for another home and just yesterday had him and the MAC team back at our Reston home as we want to get a look at real possibilities for adding space. My parents basement was not finished. My Dad had used the unfinished part as a train room where he had the most elaborate model train setup! When I could no longer afford the rent for my townhouse, they offered to finish the basement for me to move into. Enter Derek from MAC design+build! Derek met with me and my parents and helped us figure out the best way to get the basement finished for me in a very short time frame! From our first meeting with Derek to the design meeting and the project managers, everyone kept us informed about the progress and any issues. My new large living space is amazing! The drywall, trim and painting was done so precisely and beautifully that I still haven't hung anything on the walls because I don't want to mess them up! My parents and I did not stress at all during the renovation process since we knew the MAC team had everything covered!

We have just started working with Derek, Justin and team, and it has been a fun and exciting process so far. The team has been thorough and thoughtful to our needs for our addition and has been patient with our needs and in helping us navigate the best use of our space with all the bells and whistles. i have worked with many General Contractors, and each have pros and cons. HOWEVER, working with W&OD Design was amazingly easy. They have up to date technology that scans a room to give them exact numbers to work with. Their prices were fair, and his work crews were through and quick. We are blessed to have found W&OD to help with our projects. I highly recommend this company.

I definitely would recommend Hammer and Mop. Elmer, who did the work, did an excellent job. He installed a new chandelier on a different location, raised our kitchen cabinet and installed an over the range microwave. Both projects were done with precision and care. The clean up was also done very thorough. For sure I know who I would contact again for some future home projects. Big or small… I trust Hammer and Mop 100%.

After multiple problems that were "fixed" the best yet was finding paper towel shoved into a crack between the bathroom vanity and the wall. The attempt to conceal this with a lump of caulk was even poorly done. I’m pretty sure this merited ripping out the vanity and starting over and not creating a huge eye sore of a box around the cabinet base with a 2 inch awkward overhang. I’m not sure what the problem is but this does not look like the work of "professionals". If you care about the aesthetic of your home, look else where.

We recently hired Langley Remodeling for a full renovation of two bathrooms, lighting upgrades throughout the house, crown molding in every room, wainscoting, a custom built-in entertainment center, painting, and new carpet on the stairs. We have used Langley's services for three projects. The frist wassthe conversion of our fireplace from gas to electric, along with the corner wall which held our 65"" tv. The staff developed a design that included the fireplace and a mantel as well as the TV. The crew then got to work and made the changes, coordinated all country permits and finished up the job in a week. I was impressed enough to contact them when we had a water leak and need repair to our laundry room ceiling. I contacted Langley told them my issue, we agreed on a price that included labor and material They pulled the damaged ceiling down replaced it and painted it. It both projects the crew was respectful of our property and made sure everything was protected and cleaned up when complete. The last project was based on my comfort level. WE were having replacement windows put in our great room wall and I wanted to ensure that the custom made plantation shutters were not damaged. so because of the craftsmanship used in the two previous projects in contacted Langley. Then came in before the replacement and removed the shutters and returned after the installation was complete and reinstalled them again a job well done.

Langley Remodeling did an entire kitchen remodel for us from design concept through completion of the kitchen of my dreams. I didn’t think I had the space to expand, but they came up with a beautiful design and made it happen; and it is stunning. The entire team worked seamlessly with the highest quality of work. We knew as soon as we met with owner, UE, that this was the company we wanted to have remodel our kitchen. He had great ideas and really knew so much about both design and construction. Langley Remodeling was referred to us by friends who had a bar built in their basement. I cannot begin to tell you how HAPPY we are with our experience with Langley Remodeling. From the very beginning Langley was professional and helpful. They made high quality 3D renderings for my kitchen, laundry room and 2 bathrooms – even though they knew it might be a while before I could get the bathrooms done. I must have changed my design for the kitchen and laundry room 8 times before we settled on the final design. Not once did UE lose his patience with any of my questions or requests, as a matter of fact I always got new renderings from the designer the same day – sometimes within the hour! The quality of the work is fantastic. I never had to worry that corners were being cut. I never had to worry about the crew being in my home without me watching over them. I never had that awful feeling like you are being taken advantage of that happens all too often when you are getting work done on your home! Let me first start by saying if you are looking for a company to do a remodeling project, large or small, we highly recommend calling Langley Remodeling. We had an excellent experience from start to finish. We moved into our home nearly 9 years ago with a completely unfinished basement, and we were ready to build our dream basement. We first contacted a contractor that we had previously used and whose work we were happy with but as circumstances would have it and several months later with no progress, we parted ways with him and began our search for someone new. After scouring the internet and reading multiple reviews, we decided on our top 3 companies to interview. In the end, we decided on Langley, and we are so happy we chose them. From the very beginning, you feel like a valued customer. They responded promptly to my initial inquiry and later that evening we were talking to UE, the president of the company, about our project. UE was very friendly, patient, and transparent about how their company works and explained in detail their process from the design to the construction. We knew what we wanted in our basement, but it was the design where we most needed direction. When UE first came out to our house, he spent more time than any of the other contractors we had interviewed going over our project and taking measurements, photos, and video of our basement. He promised one of his designers would be contacting us in a couple of weeks because they were finishing up other projects; however, Pinar, our designer, reached out to us within a week and immediately guided us, inquiring about our interests and style. She gave suggestions on how best to communicate our interests like sending her pictures and/or setting up a Pinterest board, which worked well for us. Throughout the design process, Pinar was patient, creative, and a pleasure to work with. If we had different thoughts about her rendering, she would be open to our ideas and would incorporate them into her design. Construction began very soon after we agreed on the design and contract details. Our project manager Starlyn and assistant project manager Kenia were very professional and pleasures to work with. Starlyn was very patient with us and was at our job site practically every day making sure progress was moving along. As first-time customers and since the project was quite large, we were naturally a bit stressed about how things would go, but Starlyn was patient and understanding, and he would address all our questions or concerns as they came up. All the construction workers were Langley employees from the carpenters, plumbers, painters and electricians. We really did not interact with them too much but when we did, they too were very polite and professional. At the end of every day, my wife and I would look at the progress, and we could tell they were very skilled due to the quality in the craftsmanship. I could keep going about how excellent our experience with Langley was, but I will let the photos of our project do the talking.
