I have been volunteering with FOHA first when I was 15 - fast forward I am 30 now and have adopted my first FOHA dog - 🙂 she is amazing and I can’t say enough great things about FOHA. they truly care about the wellbeing of their animals, and take amazing measures to make sure these dogs are taken care of. They will support you - even after adoption. I think it’s rare to come across an organization like this. Thank you FOHA for my girl Marble 💜 she is finally learning to trust again.
Oh my goodness gracious! 🥹 FOHA sure takes care of its hoomans - someone is smiling and helping you every step of the way. It's truly a lifechanging experience to have adopted my first furbaby from here 🙂 Then, I was absolutely gobsmacked by the universe when I heard my furbaby's baby was ALSO rescued by FOHA!! I am now a proud furgramma! Please, please consider FOHA if you want to have a magical adoption experience! ✨️
I loved my experience here. We adopted 2 kittens and FOHA helped us feel reassured with every step. They provided medicine because our kittens were still getting over URI, had a vet on site to talk to and everyone really cared about all their animals there. Best adoption experience. I would come back but now we have a full house. Thank you guys! Kittens are good!
Gotta be honest, they lied to me and my disabled mother about a dog that is very violent and my dog was the victim of a brutal, savage attack in her own home because of the lies we were told. They refused to refund our adoption fees even though the assault took place less than 48 hours after adoption. They pride themselves on being a no-kill shelter and it seems they are willing to lie to potential adopters to protect that status and then keep your money. Choose another rescue that will be honest about the dogs they are adopting. My poor dog is traumatized and has four puncture wounds and was covered in blood. She would have been killed if my mom did not break it up. At that point the dog turned on my mom and attacked her as well. FOHA is claiming this dog has never had problems before and there is honestly no way this is true. The dog attacked my dog five total times in two days.
FOHA was an amazing place to get our first dog! We came in without an appointment just to get a feel for what kind of dog we would be interested in. Alison asked us some questions and introduced us to Lucille- it was love at first sight! She is the perfect fit for us and our living situation. FOHA was extremely accommodating in allowing us to pick her up when we returned from a trip out of state (and visiting her regularly in the meantime). We were going to pick her up after our flight home, and it ended up being delayed quite a few hours. Even though it was past closing time, Alison still let us pick up Lucille, and waited for us with everything we needed (and a spare leash to borrow, since we came from the airport) The first two photos are at FOHA in November, and last three are from the last few weeks. 🙂
