Expressive Speech and Feeding

Janine was such an amazing teacher to my son during his weekly speech sessions. She put so much thought and effort into each session, especially by incorporating things he loves, like dinosaurs and ocean animals, to make learning fun and engaging for him. She was incredibly patient and always made both my son and us feel comfortable and supported. I especially appreciated how she kept track of the important words and phrases he was learning and provided evaluations so we could see his progress and celebrate all the new words he was using. Overall, Janine was kind, caring, and truly wonderful with our son. I loved that she allowed him to be a three-year-old and enjoy the things he loves while creating a positive learning environment around them. She made every session something he could look forward to, and we are so grateful for all the time, effort, and care she put into helping him grow. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher!

My 4-year-old absolutely loved his speech classes with Janine. She uses a wide range of games and activities to elicit specific sounds and grammar patterns, so it never felt like a class or therapy to him. He was always excited to see "Miss Janine," who was well prepared with activities featuring animals, Halloween costumes, his favorite (pretend) foods -- you name it. His articulation and intelligibility noticeably improved after several sessions. We're very grateful we found her!

Janine has been absolutely amazing! Carson attended weekly speech therapy with her for nearly two years, and the progress he has made has been incredible. From the very beginning, she made him feel comfortable, kept therapy engaging and fun, and always communicated with us about his progress and what we could do at home to help. We are only leaving because Carson is starting kindergarten and our schedules no longer align. If it weren’t for that, we would absolutely continue with Janine. I am so thankful for her dedication, expertise, and genuine care for Carson. I would highly recommend her to any family looking for exceptional speech therapy!

I first came across Janine while searching for a specialist in the area. I emailed her and received a response almost immediately. Later that same day, our children’s dentist also recommended we reach out to her for a lip/tongue tie assessment and therapy. We were able to schedule the initial assessment right away. Janine has been amazing with our son! She made every session fun, engaging, and something he genuinely looked forward to each week. Janine is an earth angel! We went from not eating/ gagging on all solids at 13 months (July 2025) to eating everything and GRADUATING from therapy at 18 months (December 2025). Five months and a night and day difference for our little guy. He enthusiastically eats everything now and loves to try new foods. Janine was so patient and reassuring during the sessions -- I was really concerned about choking, and she made sure to move at a pace that felt comfortable for me and my son. We are the parents of a 10-month-old child who were recommended to see a speech/feeding specialist by our daughter's pediatrician. After an extensive search, we came across Expressive Speech and Feeding and we scheduled an evaluation session with Janine. Our experience was great from the beginning, scheduling the appointment was very easy, and Janine made us feel at ease and we were able to tell from the first few minutes of the evaluation session that she knows what she is looking for. At the end of the evaluation, Janine was happy with our child's progression and didn't recommend any additional treatment which we made us feel very happy. Janine offered to help with any follow-up questions in the future, and within 24 hours, she emailed us a copy of the visit report. We highly recommend Janine to anybody who is looking for an honest and knowledgeable specialist to evaluate their child's speech/feeding development.
