Lansing Building Products - Dulles, VA

Our building contractor used this supplier, and we had a terrible experience on multiple occasions. First, we had a picture window that, when it arrived, was so poorly constructed the frame covered almost as much area as the glass. The next time, our contractor used them for double patio doors. It took them four attempts to deliver the doors we asked for, and when the doors with the correct specs finally arrived, the quality was so poor that our contractor struggled to install them. Currently, I’m sure a stiff breeze will blow them down. During this entire time, communication with Lansing was very poor, and they still owe us money because they charged more for a door they measured wrong, then just delivered the smaller door with no refund. I would steer clear because they themselves are just reselling, and I doubt they even know how poor the quality of their products actually is.

Tim Bailey provided not only professional and prompt delivery of six windows, he also was kind to help me push my car (with a dead battery) out of the garage to make room for the delivery! Savannah, the manager was gracious in listening to my detailed appreciation for the great customer service.

A very good distributor I've been dealing with for many years. Fast, reliable, and we'll priced for windows, doors, siding, gutters and trim. Also decking. One key feature is custom windows in less than 2 weeks, measured to the 1/8". Update: Things have changed. New personnel. My go-to for everything left. Newbies are spotty and pandemic supply chain issues has changed window availability from less than 2 weeks to about 4 months. Update 9/24/22. Things getting back to normal. The "new guy" is now responsive with correct answers. Windows are down to about a month. I can live with that.

Knowing what she is talking about and actually doing it makes her the best of the best. I have been in the storm restoration industry since 2014. Alfa started a new siding branch in April 2024 with me at the head of operations. We have done over a million in sales our first 7 months & this is largely attributed to the Team @ Lansing building products in Sterling. Smooth sailing! Lansing offers timely responses, an ability to import products from other branches, and organizational professionalism has made me a fan to stay away from other suppliers, as long as we can keep winning with Lansing at the highest honors. I have a lot on my plate as the director of soon to be two states MD and VA, but this squad at Lansing has really helped to ease the work load by making me feel happy about who and where I do business with! All of the staff is great to work with and the wait times for rush orders or missing parts is less time than other places that claim it is as easy as "abc" Dan Hardy is running one heck of an operation & I am proud to work on becoming one of the top producers of 2025 by learning about more products to create even more volume in the years to come.
