Ashburn Bagel & Sandwich Shop

We really enjoyed our breakfast bagel sandwiches! They were made fresh and we found them to be delicious. Just expect to pay a good amount for a sandwich which is why I did take off one star. Because as good as it is, nearly $15 for one is a bit too pricey.

Food is ok. Bagels. Bagel sandwiches of all kinds. Lots of variety in bagels and a few pastries I saw in the case. Reminds me of a NY quick dinner stop for bagels. Quality wasn’t amazing but if you are hungry for some quick bagel sandwiches this will do the trick. I got the fireman bagel with egg, cheese, ham and I think sausage also. It was pretty good I must say but just sloppy looking. Bagel was soft and toasted. I got the everything bagel and it was good.

I ordered an Idaho Everything bagel with turkey sausage. Overall, the bagel sandwich tasted good but was a little dry, I wish there was some special type of sauce that would be spread on the bagel as well. Service was good and in the mornings this bagel shop is very busy. They have tons of different varieties and pricing is a little on the higher side for what you receive. The shop itself could definitely use a renovation though it was clean. Thank you!

Great location in a busy area of Ashburn. The service is OK. Right at the average. I got the Idaho on everything bagel. It's made to order and really tasty. I wish they used special sauces. Certainly delicious and toasty. The place really needs a good makeover as it is old and the ceiling has liquid traces and has old smell. May come again. Restroom available but limited.

The food here is really good, and my kids love it, so we come here pretty regularly. I’d definitely recommend the food. The prices are on the higher side for a bagel shop, even for Ashburn, but that’s not really my issue. The one thing I think could really improve is the customer service from the owners. The ladies who are usually making the food are always friendly, smiling, and upbeat. Once your order is ready, they bring it out, call your number, and hand it to you, and they’re always pleasant and moving around taking care of everyone. The gentleman who is usually at the register is almost the complete opposite. He rarely smiles, doesn’t really engage with customers, and even when you say thank you or try to be friendly on the way out, you usually get very little response. The woman who I believe is also an owner is a little more personable, but overall there just doesn’t seem to be much effort from either of them to make customers feel welcomed or appreciated. I grew up in the restaurant and hospitality business, and something as simple as smiling, saying hello, or acknowledging a regular customer goes a long way. The food is already good, and the rest of the staff does a great job, so I honestly think just a little more effort from the owners on that side would make the experience a lot better. One other tip if you’re ordering: if you want something specific like a ham, egg and cheese or sausage, egg and cheese, I’ve found it’s better to just tell them exactly what you want on the sandwich rather than ordering one of the named sandwiches off the board. A few times I’ve ordered by the name and ended up with different or extra meat on it. I’m definitely not complaining about getting extra food, but if you want something specific, just spelling out exactly what you want seems to work better.
