After 9 months of attempts to replace a newly purchased but malfunctioning refrigerator from a big box score, I turned to Joe Evans, Esq. for assistance. Having documented the multiple failed telephone calls to the big box store local manager and its vendor and also having documented the eight in-home repairs attempted by the vendor, I felt a new approach was necessary. Both the store and the vendor blamed the other for the dysfunctional refrigerator. At my request, Joe crafted a demand letter sent to the authorized representatives of the store and its vendor. The letter reviewed my frustrations, stated my expectation to replace the refrigerator in-kind and expertly referred to appropriate Virginia statutes that define commercial relationships and recourse available should my plea be ignored. To my surprise, I was subsequently contacted by a representative of the big box store who graciously confirmed my account of the failed maintenance efforts and agreed to replace the refrigerator. That representative also followed up closely to verify that the dysfunctional refrigerator was removed and that its replacement was professionally installed. Kudos to Joe for efficiently resolving this matter!

There are some moments you have with certain professionals, where you just know, within the first minute of speaking with them, and they put your mind at ease, you can just tell, you've got the right guy for the job! Long story short, I was having trouble with my landlord keeping me in unhealthy conditions in my apartment, and I wanted out of my lease. Joe to the rescue! Joe was brought in as support to Steven Krieger Law as I navigated a complicated case in DC involving damage in my unit caused by a leak from a neighbor (who also happened to be an unauthorized occupant/squatter).
