I came to Northern Virginia Center for Arthritis with significant doubt after seeing several other specialists and getting less-than-favorable results. Getting an appointment was easy, and I was seen by PA Monica Gonzalez. Monica took the time to truly listen to me and understand the problems I was having. She reviewed the information from my previous doctors, properly diagnosed my issue, and treated me accordingly. She showed compassion, understanding, and patience, and I never felt rushed. Unlike other experiences I had, she did not just give me the first quick answer and send me on my way. The office staff is amazing and always seems to be in a great mood, which makes a big difference when you are dealing with health issues. I also really appreciate that they have an on-staff "vampire" — aka phlebotomist — who is excellent. It saves me an additional co-pay and a lot of time. I am very thankful for the care I received from Monica and the entire office. They put in the effort to help get me healthy again, and that truly means a lot. It really does take a village, and I’m grateful this office was part of mine.

I have been a patient of Kelly Mitchell, PA since the birth of her 1st child. I love her she listens to me and has the best solutions. All of the staff is like family very friendly. I recently started infusions with Anthony..love him..he really make all of his patients feel relaxed.

First my appointment started with my orthopedic tell me I needed a rheumatologist. I had been in terrible knee pain, bruising through out my skin, vision, hearing, skin just hurt all over. I was slowly debilitating at age 41. I’m a RN so going to a rheumatologist was a big deal because I didn’t think I had a rheumatology problem. I thought I just needed rest and PT. It got so bad that the day of my appointment I was laying in the hallway out the door of their office waiting for them to open. Prior to my appointment, I called the office in despair. But a nice lady answered and squeezed me in. She didn’t have to do that. I understand that specialist are typically very busy because PCP are no longer allowed to treat specialty diseases. Well your imagination can tell you how much patience the staff had with me because not only was I laying outside the door but I could barely sit up and I couldn’t take any light so I had to be examined with the lights off ( the room was still had light from the sun). Immediately Dr G and Monica began getting to the bottom of what was wrong. Labs and test I had never heard of. But they also started me on meds to get rid of the inflammation recto begin remission. They found several RA with bone deformity that had already begun. Severe fibromyalgia. Srogrens as well. I have never been mistreated by anyone in any office. Any office is great! Reston is my favorite only because they are my family. There from the beginning. I am 2 total knee replacements out now because the disease had completely destroyed my knees by the time I finally decided to see a doctor. I’m so blessed Dr G and Monica are in my life. I truly love them. And I can say they did not know I was a nurse before they helped me. It was genuine! I see this in all their staff and in the way they care for other fellow patients. They will always be a 10 though 5 is the highest I can rate them!

DO NOT GO HERE! I am just now writing this review as I received a random text a few days ago stating I have an appointment with a doctor at this practice, whom I only saw 1 time over a year ago. I never made any follow-up appointments for the following reasons: First, I saw PA Fortune in late 2024 after testing positive for ANA for the first time. A month later, I came back to go over the testing she had done. I was informed that I tested positive for another autoimmune disease, and she believed I had connective tissue autoimmune diseases as well, but needed further testing, etc. The third time I saw her, she REFUSED to sign my FMLA paperwork. I asked her why, and she would not provide me with a reason. I did not make another appt with her and called to speak to the doctor's manager. I never spoke to that manager; instead, a lady who does the infusions called me back, apologized, and convinced me to come back and see Dr. Alexia Gospodinoff, so I did. In January 2025, my husband accompanied me to see "Dr. G," who then told me there was NOTHING wrong with me, dismissed all of my symptoms, and the POSITIVE testing that I had. I brought up that her PA had diagnosed me with 2 autoimmune diseases, and she said they can't help me as nothing was wrong with me. I walked out and never looked back or made another appointment. A few days ago, June 2026, I received a text stating I have an appointment with Dr. G in a few days! This practice is horrible - the docs/PAs are horrible, the front desk employees are horrible and scream and talk so loud about patients that other patients can hear which I'm sure is a HIPAA violation.
