It's unfortunate that all of the negative reviews fall on deaf ears with this monopoly. It is virtually impossible to reach anyone at this practice. Every urologist in our area belongs to this group. And asking for a return call after hitting every option on their phone recording accomplishes nothing. Rarely, an operator from overseas will answer who is unintelligible, and still promises a return call. Once my husband and I finally made appointments, the doctors were promising and well intentioned, but that's where it ended. My husband's prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy. And my prescription has not been sent to mine after three days since my appointment. Again, calls to their offices, where someone finally answered promising to get "an urgent message" sent to our doctors has still not been successful. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. Run to the nearest exit...
Phone system won’t take messages. Texting service mostly refers you back to calling main number. I stopped by office to finally get appointment. I had to call on drs line to get results and to request drs order for blood test by Dr. young that was not received after appointment follow-up as promised. Follow was a request on my voicemail to call main number! Again only able to get thru on drs line. Unbelievable!
If I could give this group any less than a 1 star I would. I am now over a month into their billing group not getting back to me that a bill I paid twice (have the bank cleared checks to prove it) is agreed as paid and a refund issued for second payment. But it started earlier when I could not get their nurse to release test results to me (guaranteed by Virginia law) and despite multiple requests by me to release the test results for an upcoming specialist visit. It only got settled partially when the other specialist made a request but they still never released the test results to me.. To round out this group’s poor service, when I went to the specialist who reran the same tests as the Urologist, the specialist refuted the Urologist’s findings as incorrect. This group is so bad that if I had to drive 50 miles to go to another Urologist I’d do it. Absolutely horrible service.
Terrible Staff with no work ethics. I got an appointment two months in advance. I came to the office 30 minutes before my appointment and completed all forms on a tablet which took about 20 minutes. I ended up waiting for the doctor for about 30 minutes. Then I was informed that the doctor is not available so I will be seen by nurse. Ever since my appointment there has been no followup on test results. Every time I call they don't pick up the phone.
I rarely write negative reviews, but after the past four weeks of trying to obtain basic medical follow-up for a vulnerable patient, I feel compelled to share my experience. The lack of communication from this urology practice has been beyond disappointing—it has been alarming. Over the course of several weeks, our care team made repeated phone calls, left numerous voicemails, sent emails, and marked messages as urgent. Calls were not returned. Messages were not acknowledged. Even requests for a callback from the physician went unanswered. During this time, the patient required multiple emergency room visits and was prescribed multiple rounds of antibiotics while we desperately attempted to obtain answers and guidance from the office. A renal ultrasound took more than two weeks to arrange. A CT scan was eventually completed, and the results were sent to the practice over two weeks ago. Despite repeated requests, no one from the office contacted us to discuss the findings. What is most troubling is that the burden of obtaining critical test results seemed to fall entirely on the patient's caregivers. Why should a care team have to repeatedly chase down results from a scan that was ordered by the physician? Why are urgent messages ignored? Why is there no follow-up process for patients experiencing serious urologic symptoms, including significant blood in the urine? Equally concerning was learning that the physician appeared unaware of a previously documented active kidney stone. Reviewing a patient's medical history should be a fundamental part of providing quality care, especially when treating medically complex individuals. Patients and caregivers deserve timely communication, follow-up, and respect. Returning phone calls, reviewing diagnostic results, and keeping patients informed are not extraordinary expectations—they are basic standards of medical care. The office staff, communication procedures, and patient follow-up systems at this practice need significant improvement. No patient or caregiver should have to spend weeks making unanswered phone calls while waiting for important diagnostic results and treatment guidance. I sincerely hope this review prompts meaningful changes so that future patients receive the level of attention, communication, and care they deserve.
